I thought toe in was good for straight line stability and 'safeness' whereas a bit of toe out helps cornering/turn in.

Did reply to this but it seems to have been lost! That is the basic essence of it, as for the dynamic effect it depends on way too many factors to call one "right" for FWD and wrong for RWD, plus the fact that one person will prefer toe in on a certain setup and one toe out... Personally from any experience I've had racing sims/remote control etc (Also backed up by theory learnt through lecturers at uni, Milliken and Milliken, Tune to Win, etc) on anything RWD I prefer toe out on the front and in on the back, as it gives a more responsive feel on the front but a stable feel on the rear under power... TO A GIVEN SETUP. It is not a be all and end all option, as is any settings tweak, depends entirely on other geometry, settings, the actual car and it's weight distribution, the air temperature (no I'm not kidding) etc etc.

When i was getting my tracking done, i was having the prob that my alt belt was screaming, so had a look to find this...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0083.jpg

It had snapped off in the inlet.. Started drilling it and hitting it with a hammer and chisel, Dan came a gave a hand and got it out, then tapped the hole clean. I fitted semi new bushes to the arm and put it back together all nice. Then carried on cleaning.

Thank you very much David. That's very nice to hear.

The tank was only lightly sanded before it was painted, but was done quickly. So the surface wasn't 100% so there are quite a few marks in it. But it looks ok. I should of done it right tho.
Glad you like the straps.

Roof looks spot on, glad it worked out all good in the end.

And the alt bolt, well it seams this happens quite a bit on big blocks, mine did it in 05 on M coming back from MK meet/go karting.

See you at billing.

See other thread dude, looks like my box is a little to far forward so it's giving the shaft a bad angle. Am working on how to fix it... And thank you :) makes it all worth it.

Benn
25-07-11, 11:05 PM
So, where did we get too? Oh yeah. Looks like my F28 is a bit to forward, hence my drive shaft angle, So some where from lining the mount up with the box, to making it, to removing the box to welding the mount on its got abit out of line.. So the mount holes have been slotted to try and give me a bit move movement. But even with the rear mount lose i get almost no movement... Not sure what to do now.

Trying to get some movement...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0118.jpg

The box doesn't move so needed some help..

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0119.jpg

Still wouldn't hardly move... Hhhmmm why? It a tiny bit better, but is something i (anyone with a idea?) need to think about and try and work out... but car back together. New inner Cv joint fitted.

Now as it's Tv Live in a week, i wanted to do a few things, one was this...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0120.jpg

My oil cooler is mounted behind the front panel in the wheel arch, so it gets lots of air, but not a huge amount of face on air... As i'll be on track a bit more face on air will be good so....

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0121.jpg

May not look straight but it is, hence the tape in the first pic..

This isn't the tidest (glue), but i cut some mesh, which has been painted satin black just to protect the cooler.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0131.jpg

Worked out where the cut out is, and cut some holes in the bumper.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0129.jpg

Holes sit right in front of the cut out for max air.(pics before mesh fitted)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0127.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0126.jpg

Also gave a lil chamfer to my pads to stop them squeaking when cold.

Good idea on the oil cooler, doing it's dual purpose thing pretty well there, function for track and hidden for shows :)

Yeah but just quickley, so will re done it better later. Filed them off nicely, re sealed and painted, the mesh was glued on but needs to be tidier too. But it does the trick for now.

Rear arb needs to be chrome too, maybe the whole beam? lol

Beams gonna get re power coated and i have thought of chroming the bar, but think its to longer for my chromer.

Been annoyed with the car a bit, so haven't done much on it.

But felt in the mood today, so jacked it up and replaced the Inner CV boot that was leaking, while in there i had a thought on my shaft angle/mount probs.

Undid the rear mount of the box (did it off the car before) this allowed me to move the box more on the slotted front mount. Moved it back as much as i could with just a ratchet strap. Got about an inch of move ment, which has taken quite alot of angle out of the shaft which is good.

Pics arn't the best, this one looks alot worth than it is.

30-08-11, 07:37 PM
benn,regarding the gearbox,
can you space the front mount form the box slightly to give it a little more to the rear, reason is i did this on the xe cabriolet when i fitted solid mounts as the cam cover was itting the chassis mount worked treat for me,i spaced mine with 2 washers on each bolt, maybe worth a trip to bapps for some uprated bolts too though with 2 mounts taking the torque i think spaced with longer bolts may be the answer

Benn
30-08-11, 08:29 PM
I tried some 10mm spaces in there, they moved it back some, but they looked sh*te being in there. And 10mm isn't much.

Over the winter i will look at getting a new mount made with move space on the hole as that should do it...

Dark handles does look cool too..

This is only my opinion but I wouldnt go grey on the handles. They were used as a subtle mod that keeps the handle within the recessed part of the door and being colour coded helps disguise this and aids a smoother complete article. To go grey on them would defeat the object of what Benn was trying to achieve I think. I stand in a similar position on the vinyl also as I dont think it would suit this car.

Nick.

I don't think the handles in gray would suit it at all imo

You could be right, as some times i look at mine and think, god it looks gash, what am i doing, am i making a iffy 90#s mock rally/track car, or am i making a mess! lol
I never set out to make any actual look with mine, i just thought, i like the idea of this, then this, then this, and just did them, even i don't know if it looks good, i lever that everyone els to judge, i think IMO it look ok...

LEWI007
04-09-11, 01:05 AM
For some reason i just think the handles look better body colour when the bumpers are also body coloured, and if theyre anthracite, then the handles look better anthracite too.

I wouldnt put a pillar vinyl on though itll look too much then.

Benn
04-09-11, 09:35 AM
When i first painted the car, it was gonna have the vinyl but painted on. So it would all blend thru nicely. But forgot to and never looked back.

In some ways it would look nice, in others i don't think it would...

Nick sees the way i think. I knew where was a reason that the blue looked best.. Its to help it blend in..

The blue is staying as it makes the smoother look. Try a silver handle on them and it makes them stand right out. Which i don't want.

So set about remove the knackered cv today..

Said damage.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0356.jpg

Ah see where this is going...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0357.jpg

This became a *******.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0358.jpg

Had to use a crowbar to get it out, as the cv was new the curclip was very strong, so doing that i've damaged the oil seal. Bugger.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0362.jpg

Ordered one from Ebay, and will order two at Vauxhall tomoz. As you can see that one was 2nd hand and so is the other side.

Boot off...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0360.jpg

Ah, i see what's happened...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0359.jpg

Cage gone, bearings gone, grease... All over my frigging engine bay.

Via work i got two more cvs in, one to go on the car the other just to keep as a spare.
Built the shaft back up.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0361.jpg

From there i moved to the gearbox mount issues. Boost pipes off, unto bolts mount to car...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0363.jpg

Doesn't look to far out... This with with a jack holding the box up, the rear mount lose, with a bar in thru the hub to the gear box (will do it correctly with the shaft when i've replaced the seal)

So measure, remove mount, make template for new mount to be made up.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0365.jpg

Should of took tother shaft out, put a bar through the diff and tapped the cv out that way. Depending on if you have a std diff or not.
I remember trying get a smashed cv out Pauls F28 at Combe, with a similar result.

I know, but my garage isn't big enough to be able to work on both sides.. The drivers side is about 2" from the wall at the mo... I have a Quafe diff too :)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Picked the mount up, dropped it off at 11ish, picked it up at 2. After talking to the fab man, about getting a mount made up. He said tbh plating the side that needs extending will be just as strong. Same we adding on the fines. As 70% will will be on the main body of the mount it wouldn't be needed. Knowing he knows what he's doing i left him too it.

The mount.. Had the holes welded up for strength and so it looks better.

Working out where the holes where was a lil tricky..

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0396.jpg

Did it, drilled holes, found out i got the angle wrong so had to re-drill one and slot the other a bit. Green lines are cause i was a little worried the holes where lower than before, but that's cause i have jacked the box up a bit higher too.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0387.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0390.jpg

Yay all bolted on and holding the box up.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0388.jpg

Now because i way over speced the mount there was a bit of trimming need.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0399.jpg

But that is good, as i can use the excess as a shoulder for the top hole, as the hole it right center on the weld to the metal is two different heights. (welding it on tomoz in place of the washers)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0390.jpg

Now with the mount on, the shaft is... Straight.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So i trimmed the mount down today...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0400.jpg

Now because where the holes needed to be, the top hole was on the welding, so each side was uneven. So i needed a spacer.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0401.jpg

Trimmed it to fit, tack welded it on. Perfect spacer.
Had to tap the bottom gear box hole as it was a bit rough getting a bolt it, with that all clean i got the mount bolted up.

Then had to struggle like a funker to get the rear mount on, with alot of help from Dan and a prie bar, we got the rear mount in, got the gear linkage set up in two. Wheel cleaned on the inside and refitted. Dropped back on the ground for what seemed the first time in ages...(9th of sept i broke it..)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0402.jpg

Started on the button, took it for a test drive and everything was ok. Let it warm up for awhile.
Looking at it, where i've had to pry bar the box it looks farther forward, so need to giggle it a bit on the rear mount adjustment to get it back a bit more as the shaft has a bit of angle on it, but no where ner what it did have. So all good.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0403.jpg

See the bit more angle...

ET 40 is reasonable - would it not be poss to even trim off 2-3 mm? I'm currently running ET42 was fine with unrolled arches. Now with them rolled I could get away with less but to be honest I don't want to go less than 42 as I know the Nova handles fine at this level.

So wanted a warm night in front of the tv tonight. So i thought i'd have another go at making a A pillar mounted gauge pod... As it been sat in the speaker hole in the dash for ages and it look crap and very untidy. Now alot of pod look utter wa*k, i didn't want that.

So take a pod bough at PVS (yea had it a while..lol)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0048.jpg

You can see i've marked it to cut... btw its was a £2(was 5 but i bid him right down) pod from TX motorsport/JBI its proper cheap and sh*te.

Cut it up...( i did start this a while ago, so there isnt as much cut bits as there should be..)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0422.jpg

Trim hole in A pillar trim too for better flushness.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0421.jpg

Trim more off...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0422.jpg

Start to plastic weld the two together..

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0423.jpg

Now i'm doing this sat in the front room... Whole house now smells of melting plastic.. oops.

Here is where i've found where i've it to bits to get it fitting right there are large gaps in it.. So weld in bits that have been cut off...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0428.jpg

Weld... Trim... Weld.... Trim...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0427.jpg

Wanted to get the side that will touch the screen right, As the other side i can belt sand down to be right.
You can see bits i've added in where there were gaps.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0426.jpg

A semi done finish...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0425.jpg

This is kinda what it will look like in car...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0429.jpg

Sand it down for best fit then re cover it in the same as it was/headlining is, and it will be 9billion times better.

I've not taken it apart in 2weeks cause i was getting funked off with it being it bits and unusable, made it seem pointless having a nice car when its just in the garage in bits all the time.

Cheers Pie.

Epic thread Benn, getting evils off the Mrs having been glued in front of the PC for a couple of hours reading it!
I am new to the Nova thing...but I am stunned at the quality workmanship and attention to detail that goes into these little pocket rockets. I was expecting all stick on cr4p with no taste, but I was sooo sooo wrong.
Builds like this are up there with the best modded cars out their, be them 50's yanks, muscle cars, minitrucks or whatever...

Well done though, a great read, a great car and huge amount of commitment and work on your part.
Look forwards to seeing what happens next...

Been a while since i've worked on the car, so i thought i best get a move on. Got it backed in to the garage as it's time to fix my rear beam/hub set up.

Get up and start stripping.. Coilovers off.. Dirty but clean up easy.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0476.jpg

Once hub (now my rear beam was ment to be powder coated, it clearly wasn't as you can see. But it will be as they is one of the jobs to do. Brake lines need repainting as do the calipars) Whole under side needs a bloody good clean too, as it hasn't been done since the summer)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0478.jpg

Other side.. Hand brake cables off, under side needs a good car and the paint needs tidying up in a few places too, as does the pump pipes and wires.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0477.jpg

Caliper off and undoing the hub..

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0480.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0481.jpg

Good thing tho, the rear discs are quite clean, so proves they work ok..

Hub off, deffo no powder coating there.. Will be blasted off and power coated gloss black in the next few weeks)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0485.jpg

Now here's where the fun starts.. The reason i'm doing this is my rear toe..

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0067.jpg

As you can see is quite badly out, hence why the rear end can feel so light on cornering.. (never noticed this on a tracking report before some how)
So there could be two reasons for it, the beam has had the disc plates fitted badly (i bought the beam already made) or where my hubs are spaced because of the Cav V6 rear hubs (they have a abs ring on the back that you cant easily remove) Now i'm hoping it it's the spacing..

You can see the hub was spaced only a tiny bit with washers, at the time a temp fix that was forgotten about..

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0489.jpg

So i took each off and measured them, hoping to see one side would be lower, giving the wheel the bad toe..

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0484.jpg

How's what i found...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0491.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0488.jpg

As you can see, they are all a bit different, but at .something of a mm not enough to give the toe figures.. The abs bit is at the bottom and looks like a 3mm spacer will cover it.

So after a bit of working out by Dan (sat in the lounge with tea in hand) it looks like it's the plates on the beam.. Great.

So now i have to work out how to get the beam plates faced to be flat or how to using a 3mm spacer that gives a bit of angle adjustment to correct the toe...

Interesting, I'll keep my eyes on this as to how you sort it mate.

Why not get some shims made up to slide in??

The Simps
22-01-12, 01:22 PM
Or you could slice down the backing plate support, knock out then re-weld. If doing this I'd get the beam on a jig with hubs etc on and measure it all properly as you move it.

Rick Draper
22-01-12, 01:28 PM
TBH Benn most disk beam plates I have seen have a hole large enough for that part of the hub to sit in so there is no need for spacers.

TBH Benn most disk beam plates I have seen have a hole large enough for that part of the hub to sit in so there is no need for spacers.

I think v6 hubs have a much bigger abs bit at the back, plus i have not clue if the beam as made with plates or ones cut off...

Why not get some shims made up to slide in??

Shims are something ive thought of and may use with a bit of angle on to correct the toe. Where needed.

The plates are welded on the in side of the hole too, at the time i gave up trying to bore it. As it was hard..

I 5studded it at the start of 2008, the discs where new then. The pads don't touch the 5mm on the out side edge of the disc, don't on any GM one of this age.. Would love to chrome it, but my guy cant do big stuff.

Broke my belt sander. So i thought i'll take them apart and then get them machined so it's a proper job... Then i got the funking dog.

So one side, loosen off the handbrake spinning adjuster, disc wont come off, beat off with beat blow hammer as bit of the handbrake shoes fall out... One shoe is jammed out some a unknown reason.. Needs to be replaced even tho they arn't that low... Stub axle taps out..
Other side, thinking the worse.. Disc comes off easy, tap the axle.. Don't move. 20mins of beating with a proper hammer, its not lose, but wont come off, maybe a burr of metal is holding it on.. Funking dog with it.

Its great having a garage, but as my is inbuilt it's tiny. I do get very stressed at time yes. And no, i'm hoping it was the spacing... If not it's the beam.

Took the car out the garage yesterday, even tho there was an inch of salt on the road.. Popped down to Protyre (thank you to Paul and Jim and Euan)

New print out...

One from before to compare..

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMG_0067.jpg

So it's better and now in the "acceptable" area But i'd like it better than that. So with a bit of maths (trig) i can work out the size of the skim to make to correct the toe and get the camber the same on both sides...

So car back in the garage, get the back jacked up again and start stripping...

In the week i popped in to the bodyshop and made a brake line loop to stop fluid loss.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/beamoff21.jpg

Getting it fitted, (can see bits that need a repaint under there too)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/beamoff23.jpg

Then start unbolting everything again...

Everything off, beam out, again see more bits that need painting :grr:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/beamoff26.jpg

Stripped everything off the beam..

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/beamoff25.jpg

Can re-furb my calipers now, paint my break lines too.

Beam out side so i could beat the ARB out,

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/beamoff27.jpg

Only one bit stuck.. I cant get the bushes out to replace..

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/beamoff28.jpg

So i've cut the outer rubber down, so it can all be powder coated and then i'll try and get the bushes out again..

Are these mods just to tackle the toe? The camber looks quite different side to side also?

Also why are the figures for the rear RH wheel different if you haven't touched it at all?

With the bushes if you can't pull them out due to tightness, put the drill through it a few times or heat them up a bit.

Balley
05-02-12, 04:56 PM
Benn if they are original bushes it might be worth trying new ones before you do an machining, it could be just down to the fact the old ones are slightly worn.

Yes, mainly to fix the toe, and to give both sides equal and even camber, as a bit of camber is ok. I'm gonna say it's all done to the way the beam was made and welded, it's the only thing it can be.
Never though of drilling them, i'll try that tomoz.

Benn if they are original bushes it might be worth trying new ones before you do an machining, it could be just down to the fact the old ones are slightly worn.

Toe is abit more tricky.

In terms of it's effects or how it's measured/what it is?

think it will depend on wheel design though, ive had 3 sets of 17s on the saloon 2 needed spacers and the otheres were fine luckily the softstars on the van cleared with no spacers, the 15s i had were just a set of dare 5 spokes but cleared fine needed 5mm spacers though

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMAG0251.jpg

Grease it,

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMAG0250.jpg

Then paint it,

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/bennh/Car%20updates%20June%202011%20on/IMAG0249.jpg

Then wipe paint off and the braking surface is clean...

So then start rebuilding beam, Remember my bad caster? Using some tig (soh-cah-toa) i worked out what was needed to fix it and had some shim made to correct. (left 1.4mm and right 2.9mm cut on a lathe)

If i had your fab skills i would dude. I'd love to have turreted the back end too, but im not sure my welding is strong enough for the job..

Should have just gone for HEL or the Goodridge ones with stainless ends. I like the colour coded oil filter! Very neat touch!

How strong of a MIG welder have you got access to Ben? Anything 130 upwards would be fine providing you don't go beyond 2MM steel.

You won't gain confidence without going for it; If your main concern is strength, I think it'll be more bomb-proof than you imagine, even with average messy looking welds. Remember it's the shape & structure of the metal going in that'll dictate the durability. Go get some 2MM sheet steel, a load of 1MM cutting disks for the grinder, some paint, enough gas / wire for the welder and make the push!

[btw if you are going to, make them high and further towards the back of the car than the o.e positioning]

Now's the time to go for such things; before you know it you'll be tubbing arches & extending the beam!

I didnt know they made them, had these a while as you can see. A coat of paint has sorted it.
My filter was polished last year, but they are very cheap tin, so wasnt great, this way it wont rust with in tomins.

I have a Clarks 151te, welds really well. Ive been doing some jobs with it so had a bit of pratice.
Looking at your tubs, im gonna say your your skills are a bit better than mine, but as you say you learn as you do, but there is the safty worry where its something structle.. ive used door skin metal as thats nice and thick.

Yeah there's some more somewhere, but I shouldn't be hijacking another member's thread. I left some on the O/S just because of how deep in it goes with the o.e filler location.

Aside from that everything went.

Got the hub off, measured everything and worked out the angles again. Still says 2.9. So put everything back together and will wait till i get a tracking report before worrying any more. Adjusted the handbrake as well so it's just touching as it should be set. Did a lil touching up too.. As bit had got marked when fitting, so took finished pics.

Did the brake lines in blue to match the under side of the car (lines on the floor plan are black so they don't look like I've painted over them while doing the floor)

Saw this some where, thought what a great idea. So used some black silicone and did it. Looks tidier i find.

Overspray on wheels.

I used the rubber bits from a metal P clip for those lugs, worked well.

Funny that as there where well away from the car when working on it.. But they are very dirty anyway.
