Yet another afternoon working in the boys room in the loft.
Top roof section nearly all insulated and boarded.

Instead of squaring the room off I mocked up having the lower roof open, didn't like it though, so square it is.

Old chimney brickwork nearly covered, note how the right hand side chimney has been knocked out by someone in the past.

Going by the only slight rust effort, possibly a 2010 model? LOL
Possibly a PUMA engine looking at the timing case cover. No doubt it will knock out a piston or two shortly lol
Nothing wrong with the puma engine.... I wrote a massive chunk of code for the ecu and can do real remaps lol
I'd never trust any currently available remap for the puma engine, that's deffo pump killer land.
We never broke a development engine with many thousands of vehicles on huge mileage lol then production came along and ruined it lol

Happy about surviving my stag do on Sat with no issues what so ever, waking up with no hangover then catching up on sleep last night and feeling wide awake this morning to find a set of wheels I got for free sold for £150 on ebay. :thumb: Great start to the week.
/\ my stag do was spent on crutches & wearing a hazchem suit that made me look like a sperm......
it was thursday march 2nd, snow on the ground, and i'd smashed myself up on new years eve.... we staggered round oxford, accidentally won & came 2nd in a pub quiz (prize 8 pints of beer for 1st, 4pints for 2nd) ended up at the PARK [your] END night club & it was ladies night..lol lol... then i clammed up & wouldn't drink the dodgy cocktails they all bought me... they drank them... they got hangovers.. i didn't.. the next morning the quack passed me fit to walk!!!!, and i rushed round sorting out all the unimportant stuff, then saturday came & we partied like it was 1999....total wedding cost about £1500. we pulled in favours, bartered, did odd jobs in return for stuff... it was great, no rehearsal, no relatives we hated, only people we wanted to be there...
i hope yours is a goodun. enjoy it

AOL sucks because
Its AOL. This isn't America
Its like you can't organize anything other than your home email address
It implies you can't use the internet
Gmail is better because it is. lol
gmail is also the email of choice for criminals & terrorists...
the 2 people simply both know the login... then one creates a draft email & the other logs in to look at it, then edits it & re saves it as a draft... and person 1 logs back in to read it... allegedly it leaves no data trail..

i had rib eye steak for the first time earlier much nicer then boring old fillet
tj, how are you cooking fillet to make it boring?? to me, fillet is a once or twice a year treat. when i cook it, its so rare that a decent vet with some sun-cream could get it mooing again
(Steak geek) t bone is actually fillet and sirloin combined. If you want flavour go for rump. But as mowgli says fillet is so tender you can get away with cooking it less.
Rib eye is the real king though. :)

More nova related happines for me today, managed to get it to jetwash and gave it a rinse down as its not been cleaned in over a week now
But after a quick splash over its still got a good layer of AG left as it was beading nicely afterwards, then when i got home i got the split seat bracket that Benn sent me fitted and removed my temporary bodge fix, and also tidied out my boot as it was full of crap and my fifth speedline was wedging the boot lid and making it hard to open as i got a tyre put on it at the weekend!
Steely removed from wheel-well and speedline put in its place, boot rearranged and clips put back on the boot carpet to back panel, and emptied a few months of crap out of my glove box as i was fed up with it rattling while im on the way to work lol
Now sat in the warm and having a cup of tea:thumb:

i am no longer a full time wagon driver !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111111
as of tuesday, i'm back in the groundworks business....
we did the maths....... it simply wasn't making anything like the money people claim it should... we costed everything into what it takes to run a haulage company, we are realists, so we are selling the wagons...
as an example, on a turnover of £2800per week, with a fuel cost of £1200 per week, it was making £100 profit... when a tyre goes, it wipes out the profit for the month! from an investment of £100k for a wagon, £3000 a year profit is crap..
£140k turnover.... tax man takes about £80k.. then there is wages, finance, insurance(whiplash claims are hitting hgv insurance v hard...) etc...
i didn't take much convincing to park it up..
oh, and i get to sleep till 6:30am & actually get home to see my family

Are you sure you have got that right? it doesnt add up.
when fuel is the biggest outgoing and tax on fuel is like 60-80% or something stupid, then you take 20% of that last 20-40% as VAT, then income tax... it sounds about right.
was out on the job and got a birds number, and had some people complimenting my car today aswell which was pretty cool =) good day.

Correct, i was thinking Taxman, as in incomewise, as opposed to the Government / HMRC in general.
Sounds like a good idea to knock it on the head with such poor profits. Much better than most who would have ran it into the ground then declared bancruptcy / insolvency.

precisely... there are loads of people kidding themselves about owning wagons... they run old knackers & spend 20hrs a weekend undfer them trying to keep them running.... an owner driver, or small haulier would earn way more & have tons omore free time if they sold the lot & drove a tesco delivery truck.
since the eu tried to take this country over (they have & under labour, very nearly did...) it has progressively got harder for a small haulage operator to do anything. the plan by the traffic commisioners is for large operators to run everything... this is how it works in france & germany.

In 15 years I have seen the cartoon army go from challenging the top 4 to being content at being above us, who have been relegated numerous times. Since the Prem, we never have been good, so I know who should be - and is - rightfully laughing.
Still though, if only they had our top flight winning history.

Being paid to buy diesel.
I messed up after changing the fuel filter on my Mondeo. I filled the new filter, but just started the car through the open window - no way of holding the revs higher than idle.
It ran for a few seconds then died. Tried to restart and got nothing.
So I filled a jerry can at the petrol station. Paid with a tenner, expecting £3.50 change or so, and instead got £13.50.
Thank you please!

Oh.
It sometimes cuts out when in 5th/6th at low revs. Like on cruise and encountering a bank, when ideally it should be in a lower gear.
Doesn't do it that often, but it's a minefield of possibilities working out what is at fault.
Seems to be low fuel pressure shutting off the pump.
My money is on injectors needing cleaned. Too much supermarket fuel. lol
