you hear the pit radio telling the driver they are on schedule now.....which means they are driving to a set time limit per lap...
More like planned Fuel usage, not time limit per lap.
keif, its the same thing.... they are driving to the clock...

ive got a led head light aswell nice bright white light, great light to work with but my eyes dont like it after a few hours they feel tired :/
keif, its the same thing.... they are driving to the clock...
No it's not, running an engine on "full power" will be on it's richest setting so use more fuel. If the tyres have no grip, with the increase in performance, it doesn't mean you'll get quicker laps.
Therefore you use more fuel than "planned" for the same lap time and risk running out of fuel.
they spend friday testing the life of the tyres & the fuel usage.. they then calculate all sorts of factors to work out their race pace & fuel loading..
it used to be the driver working it out as he went along, and, yes, people cooked their tyres & ran out of fuel, but that was part of the racing.

Securing larger premises to get through this back log of work.
Large unit = me very happy lol
Seeing inside the unit of a lad I know, and admiring a mk2 2dr Escort Mexico on a spit, Caspian blue ex-concourse XR3, genuine Gartrac RS1600i ex-works car, LHD uber clean 3.0 24v Cosworth kitted 4i drifter and mk1 Escort Mexico running a YB.
He has other things too, but they were the pick of the bunch for me.
His daily drie mk2 Escort with 2.0 Zetec is pretty cool too. :d

going on wikipedia & correcting some wrong info about our local town that was put on by some pillock who thinks the council will rename the area he lives on to 'saxon-paddock' because the road thru the estate is called paddock way & he's decided to say saxon archaeology was found there.... the problem was that our firm actually did the dig.. saw what came out the ground and read the report, there was no saxon stuff.....he also posted a link to his website that called everyone in our town names for a multitude of reasons.. it is now correct & verified, so i can't wait for the stink from it.....i can be very spiteful at times
this bloke is our version of those idiots who buy a house near an airport & then complain about the noise..

I know, is a bit ****ed up. I saw the thread this morning and it actually hit a bit hard tbh as I've been close to people losing very close family recently and nearly lost someone myself. Can't imagine what it was like for family/close friends :(
Do you know who actually did it or was it a random password grabber or something?

Typical Facebook attitude. Instead of wanting to e-chin some tactless ****, just have a laugh about it.
Personally, I would enjoy scaring a few people with a JC-like rise from the dead.
That's me though. I don't let trivial things bother me. I would have been shocked when I saw it, but then laughed and explained I had been jacked.

Had the nova out earlier on, even had a brush with a traffic copper on the A63, clearly thought i was speeding, came flying up behind me, id already moved into the nearside lane and slowed to the speed of the traffic, he passed, turned off his lights and took the next exit, only to come back on the dual carriageway the other side of the exit, haha, spudly is wise to sneak attack and was already doing 55mph, copper turned off the next exit and headed back the other way after not hearing/seeing me fly off at a daft speed (partly due to the fact the road was wet and all i was doing was wheelspinning if i tried to floor it, but hush, he doesnt know that) lol

Gammon, fried egg, mushrooms and onion rings with my homemade special recipe chips.
Oh and 24 cans of lager lol
andy.. there isn't much you can change when putting potato sticks in hot oil...... come on & fess up
ok lol
i add in a mild curry paste to the oil and mix it in,then coat all the chips in it and oven cook them.
Makes them golden brown and with a little, but not overpowering kick of curry flavour.
that sounds pretty good. i'll try that. then i'll probably have to change the oil in the fryer, cos my lot are right fine mouthed so & so's
It is nice,i just use the pataks stuff.A heaped teaspoonfull is enough for enough chips for us 4.
For the proper way i would imagine you might well need more.
ah.. my bad, i didn't see the 'O' word.... i can't bring myself to have chips that are not fried... it just seems wrong
I dont have a chip pan,or a DFF so i have to lol
As said though, its gotta work the same,i would just coat the chips in neat paste then, and then add to the frier??

thinking Mowgli was the handsome man in the avatar made me smile today
After this reply in the 'Whats pissed you off today thread'
Got a massive chip in the top corner of my screen this morning, stupid Audi, was overtaking him on the dual carriageway leaving hull, he floored it and cut out in front of me (was only a 1.9 TDi) couldn't pull away from me and wouldn't move over, I let off at about 80, and went to move over and SMASH, massive stone flew out from his offside rear wheel, saw it coming straight for the middle of my screen, braked and changed lanes quickly, still caught it right in the top corner of the drivers side of my screen (the original top tint one too I might add) I wanted to
I remembered that im fully comp on the nova, rang sky to see if im covered for windscreen damage, spoke to Connie who is/was very helpful and found out yes im covered for a repair, so i toddled off to my local National Windscreens to enquire as to how to go about it (got to ring a booking number which is a pain, but meh) and also asked an engineer to have a spy and let me know if it is repairable, and yes it is, brilliant :thumb:
Also took the nova to the buy time jet-wash at the top my street, and gave all the underside and wheelarches a damn good jetting out, gave her a light rinse down (three coats of AG Super Resin means the muck just fell off) then back home, leathered and re-covered her again (rained last night/today, dont like the nova being out from under the cover when it rains) time to put my feet up and crack a beer methinks :d

Share please, I is also after a bike now the small one has new bike :)

You really dont mean that do you
yer, i honestly couldnt see the reason for spending that kinda extra money on a pedal bike, it was only being used for riding around the streets, maybe it has some part in downhill racing but how many people use them for that, proberly the same percentage of people that use 4x4's off road lol
kHs bikes. No stock till march though lol a 26" hard tail in ace spec for £600 or even better spec for £900, then 29" in mental spec for a grand. Jobs a Goodun.
I've been riding the wife's specialised hardrock sport (blokes bike) and even though I don't do much bar 15miles a week on trail and road, I have found many limitations of it etc and that was a £350 bike.
Hmm a little out of my range. Sounds good though!

Best not tell you that ive just spent nearly £90 on a bike i only want the frame from, or that one of the bikes in my room i paid £250 for last year and have spent about £200 upgrading it afterwards lol
I couldnt ride a cheapo crap bike ever, i ride mine as often as possible and take them offroad wherever possible!
Stuart iirc KHS were always understated bikes, well made, good frames and well specced too:thumb:

My fave of my bikes is my 1998 caldera, was about £900 new, rides soooo well :d

Same principal applies though..... They both do 'similar things' but very very differently.
I'll have about 3-400 to spend. prob best going for second hand i reckon, but i'm too out of touch with bikes to know whats "good" anymore. Ps i'm fat and middle aged so won't be doing ay sort of mad stuff lol
Tbh you'd be fine on a specialised hardrock (hydraulic discs), I know I said I've found limitations on it, but that's partly due to the wrong size more than anything.

I work for a company that is owned by a multi-million pound company, still i dont know what one of those is!
I shook the owner of the companies hand and said merry xmas, bonus of working for a small company I guess. Flip side is that if they loose one contract the company would go under and I'd be out of a job...

i've been having bother with my abs......
don't worry, its not medical or fitness related....
my abs on my lorry trailer has been intermittently throwing up a fault code, and its been annoying me a lot.. new sensors, flashing the codes out, checking the wiring etc..
finally, today i fixed it. the sensor exciter rings are a cast part of the disc, and they were corroded, and it only senses on the middle axle (of three) and i fitted new discs on the middle axle... a simple 6 hrs ball-ache of a job... involving amongst other things, a torque wrench set at 700NM, a 1"drive air wrench, a large rubber sledgehammer(actually its called a maul) & a first aid kit
and it is sorted.... you see, if a car has an abs fault, you might see a little sign on your dash... but on a wagon, there is a green light on the front of the trailer that comes on when you brake, and our friends from vosa drive round looking for them, so my ar$e can stop twitching quite so much when they drive by
