No, it was fine, although I had filled the tank with 4 gallons of fuel (what I drained out) it was too low, added an additional 3 gallons, all OK, will fit a proper prefilter soon
Yes that looks very nice, will be a real handful I suspect with a 4.6 in it! Have you bought it yet?

Think I've finally grown up. Decided to use my 911 savings fund against the mortgage instead.
Just got our first year mortgage statement and currently paying 56% interest, 44% capital so hopefully that will redress the balance slightly. Can only overpay by 10% a year though before getting charged for it, robbing gits!

getting closer to 10% bodyfat :) i want to put on 1.6kg and loose 2% fat or so then I'll be really happy.
You must be alot of muscle... As it's classing you as "over weight"
BMI is a retarded method of classifying it though
bazzap8389
17-07-14, 02:51 PM
Yeah BMI doesn't take muscle mass into account. Just height and weight which is stupid. My BMI will be even higher by the time I reach my goal.
bmi is bull****.
most rugby league players classed as morbidly obese.
how many morbidly obese people do you know able to run 100metres in 11seconds?
bmi is bull****.

Depends if there are donuts at the end
* Guys don't get hooked on the BMI result as that's not the point of the print out, its lower down people look at !!! that print out looks like one of these body fat machines that sends a pulse through you and 'determines' your body fat based on resistance of the signal or some crap like that, hence it has his actual bodyfat figure on the slip not just BMI, I have personally seen variations of 4% within a 2 week period (I was calipered between tests ;) )when we trialled one for a laugh down my local gym. Oldskool wins everytime*
At 5ft 8" and just over 16 stone (103kg) I am deemed grossly obese, but I have a bodyfat of 14% which is great as I am just ending a year off exercise and had a crappy diet.
For a true calculation you need to have a good old fashioned caliper check, with a minimum of 7 point contact. I have more contact points than that when I get done twice a year so the accuracy is improved.
bazzap8389
17-07-14, 08:42 PM
Yes that was taken on a machine at the gym around 2 weeks ago. A few days after the print out I got a calliper check done @ bang on 84kg i was 13.8% fat. Not been eating good at all since then though unfortunately and had defs increased since :( hey ho. Not been in a good routine since new year either slacked big time with my training. Although I'm still lifting the same weight etc the intensity has dropped big time need to get back into it like I used to.
Dan, you must be a machine!
not really lol, just been messing around with weights for the last 3.5 years to try and get into shape before my 40th next year, after a life of a couch potato. I'm just oldskool and my genetics/shape is good for the game. Biggest key is lift big with the legs for growth and less body fat and free weights only for everything !!!

Around 2.5 years for me. Started at 67kg though so been hard to get my weight up. I'm the same I use free weights for everything except pull downs for tris and cable flys really.

Couch potato and groundswork though... I've just started going to the onsite gym at work after gaining about 15-20kg after 2 1/2 years sat behind desks and not much activity before that, and it's tough to get into, 10 minutes on a rowing machine is enough to kick my ass and I can't lift ****. Currently just trying to improve general fitness so I can get up the 3 flights of stairs at work and have a conversation without going blue at the top lol although I'm not aiming for a brick ****house build nor do I think I have the genetics for it :p

Killed my self in the gym.
Followed a program on the treadmill that is for weight loss (i need it) that takes you up and down the incline as if you in the hills. I set a just under jogging speed and finished the program! at just one min over the pasted time! Which i'm very happy with, as i've never finished one before. Was 5k in total.
Then lifted heavy than i normally did and for more reps. Everything is aching but thats a good so i'm happy. Now for some nova fun in the sun....

Running out of breath is something that'll improve over time. Your body can only extract so much oxygen from the air you breathe, this gets better as you get to your heartbeat rate up more frequently. No worries.
Back in the day when I went to the gym, I was told that optimum heartbeat rate for burning calories (cardio training is what they call it) is 85 percent of 220 minus your age. So if you're 30, this works out at (220-30)*0.85 = 161.5 bpm. Is this rule still being used today?

Had a mortgage expert over the other day. Promised me a massive saving on the interest rate (down to 3.19% from 5.57%) which got me excited. This week he called, saying the bank doesn't accept his proposition (if that's the right word) for a variety of reasons and the deal is off. Yet he charged me €295 for the work involved.
I could live with that, so I paid up... :tard:
...but being the suspicious prick that I am, I called the bank and inquired about the real reason for them not accepting his proposition. Turns out he was telling porkies and had not done his homework. In fact, his calculations were riddled with grave mistakes to the point it was just funny.
Anyway I am going to get my money back (shouldn't have paid in the first place, you know what they say about hindsight and that) so watch this space. Incompetent imbeciles. And this was not the first one - over the years we've had 4 so-called mortgage experts going through our paperwork, all promising miracles and they all failed miserably at our expense. They're *******s, the lot of them.
Just got a call from said mortgage advisor (after sending him a rather nasty e-mail) saying he is going to pay back the €295 I unrightfully paid him. Good. Now, what Nova bits can I get for €295? lol

Getting a quote yesterday for car insurance at £110 cheaper than the renewal, and £75 cheaper than I could find last week.
Then I took it up today, changed the renewal date as I got it wrong in the quote yesterday and the price went down by £14!

I had a flash back when I saw a Nova today that I had good times in all of mine over the years and miss the croaky clutch and spasmodic throttle, even the breakdown companies helping me home on many a night out cruising lol... Ah the memories.

Been doing a lot of cardio alongside my weight training recently, I'm down to 7m 30s a mile now! That's around the time I used to do it 10 years ago!
Thats impressive mate well done!

Cheers, that's my average over a run of 2.3 miles I do. There's a killer up hill bit and my time drops to almost 10 mins for that part lol
Oh its not on treadmill then? Thats even better! Uphill keeps the burn going for longer. We use a real steep hill at boxing and do sprints up it walk back down for ten seconds then sprint and repeat.high intemsity interval is king for burning.
Skipping is too 20sec normal pace 20secs double loop/high knees at maximum speed
