As well as working on the nova in just over a weeks time to get it fully usable again, I have just booked my oil burner in for a bit of fettling which will give the old girl circa 290bhp and 460lbft. Should make the car a bit more responsive and fun :)

How much time is knocked off if you keep paying the £223 ontop?

bazzap8389
28-03-17, 06:38 PM
8 years and 11 months! I think that'll be the plan. Don't want to keep paying what I am now incase I lose my job so overpayment will be the way forward for me I think.

How many years you been paying mate

bazzap8389
29-03-17, 11:50 AM
Just 2 years mate, only moved in in January as well. Spent a fair bit on it so the loan to value changed quite bit so got a much lower rate of interest when renewing which is a boost.

carls nova sri
29-03-17, 02:13 PM
House prices have gone through the roof especially with such a high interest rate glad your all settled tho

House prices have dropped in Aberdeen since I bought mine with the oil downturn, glad it's worked out alright for me though!

my interest rate has came from 3.3 % to 1.6 %

nova_niek
29-03-17, 05:25 PM
1.6%? I came down from 5.56% to 2.75% and here was me thinking I struck the deal of the decade. Congrats mate, well done. *now contemplating moving to bonnie Scotland* 😂

Well that a lie it's actually 1.64 % haha

2.75 isn't bad at all though, I'd assume it's the same anywhere in the uk for that rate though. Once you own more than 15 % of the house the rates all seem to be around the 1.6 mark or so

Stuart
29-03-17, 07:32 PM

Andy

Pointless anyway, you can't bury your house with you.
i used to get annoyed at not owning a home, til I watched my grandparents have to pay out 1300quid a week for their care homes, suddenly having a decent amount of coin in retirement isn't so appealing.
May aswell spend every penny you have while you're young enough to enjoy it imo.Id rather go on holiday more and blow it.

Insuring the Super Bee for £75 a year.

It may be short lived though as I didn't catch if the guy said it needs to be registered within 30 days or if they need to know the ID within 30 days of it being registered... hopefully not the former as I doubt it'll have a V5 this side of 2020 lol
