Plus free healthcare etc. NHS should be restricted to only people who work, their children, the retired and anyone with a genuine reason for not paying national insurance. Everyone else should get to ****.

Why is it ok for cuts to be made left, right and centre and taxes to be increased while an alarming amount of thr population gets paid a good wage to be sat on their arses doing nowt.

The rot seriously needs cutting out of society

mowgli
29-08-12, 02:14 PM
rich.. it won't happen in this government, unfortunately because of the way labour set up the scottish parliament, Labour still has a large minority presence in westminster... with the lib dems, they can pretty much railroad any attempt at welfare reform.
if the tories had a large majority, then the cuts would have been a lot deeper & sharper....

there are 350000 families with not one member of them working, yet immigrant labour is still heading to britain to fill jobs...and someone asked me recently what degrees i wanted my kids to get, and were shocked when i told them that my kids probably won't be getting such a worthless piece of paper... £50000 debt to get a bit of paper that can get you a 20k pa job if you are lucky, when 3 years of vocational training gets you more wages & no massive debt......

having to visit mother in law, as missus still isn't driving even though i have a 9'x9' steel shed to assemble in the garden, and really wanted to see the belgian gp......even a thrape down the old coventry to banbury road & back couldn't raise my spirits..... went for lunch, then came home with a large pouffe.....(typical png activity i suppose) lol lol lol

apparently the missus had agreed to have said foot stool (which sounds to me like you've trod in something) so long ago that she couldn't actually recall doing it, so we have even less room in our sitting room for actual sitting, as it is about the size of a single divan bed.

I was playing 5 a side once a week and was absolutely flagging until I started going to the gym. Got fit or so I thought lol theres a boxing gym opened near me about 6 weeks ago so I started going. First session was like torture lol but I've really got into it and going 3 times a week now plus running 3 days and resting the last. Nope but the lad I'll be boxing has only had one fight and lost it...

Training is seriously intense, I've come on leaps and bounds in both fitness and skill. I thought I'd be like 'fook that' but I'm quite excited about it

Jeff, I can relate to this! Last year my son (he was in yr4) who is also the class comedian was getting in trouble for talking. His teacher was 60+ and very old fashioned! This year he has gone back to his yr3 teacher who is mid 20s and he behaves perfectly, but is also allowed to be a 9 year old boy. So much happier and likes school again.

Oh and yes she is fiiiiiiit!!!!

My worry is that he is really popular and he likes everyone to have a laugh, he suffers because of it though as he'll get marked as a 8yr old abso waiting to happen. If she moves him to another class he'll be devastated but I don't want him to get upset when it's time to go to school.

A whole year of misery is a long time and if he hates her he won't work well and I can't blame him. I hope she supports them as much as she punishes them.

He has been lucky the last couple of years as all his old teachers thought he was hilarious and all were fit.

I went through my school life being like your son,i was the class clown, some teachers though didnt like it,its a power thing another teacher told me,because i was diverting the attention to me for a few light hearted seconds, the teacher couldnt get the attention i could and got mad.
Sounds exactly the same scenario..
I did fukk around worse as i got older though, but theres nothing wrong with a few jokes thrown into the lesson to break up the boredom and keep you on your toes.

most of them are piss easy to fix, but 'professionals' put misinformation on these guides.... the bearing is usually in a bolt on housing.

ps. a friend gave us a really expensive washing machine once cos the bearings were apparently shot & it stopped cleaning properly... we found what was left of a metal lipstick inside the seal... the bearing set was about £20 & fixed the rattle & removing the lipstick cured the not cleaning too.. it lasted years.

Only if you have an account with us he said, but you can have an exchange. An exchange? What good is that to me if I'm too much of a chunky monkey to fit into your ****ing clothes?

so, i went to prison.... today.... i had to deliver a wagon & drag (its a lorry with half the load on the front & half on the trailer) full of reject bricks to HMP oak wood for them to train prisoners to lay bricks & get a certificate from a college 70 miles away so it looks kosher.... and it was run by G4S, (which my eldest daughter genuinely though were the gas people..lol) so i got there at 12:20 & managed to get in the gate with the wagon, having been told the drag trailer wouldn't fit, for 2:00. then went thru one metal locked gate ok, and then clouted the top of the next one with the top of my hiab..... cue lots of head scratching as the gate wouldn't latch anymore... then i took the truck back outside & put the bricks off the drag on it & back in..... so at 3:30, i used my hiab to clout the gate top back from the other side to much relief from the bunch of g4s officers.... and finally out the gate for 3:45..... i might as well had a sodding room.... there are people who get convicted & spend less time in nick than i did!!!!!!
to put it in perspective, most days i do a trailer drop & all in i managed the job in 40 mins tops....
i am now parked in an industrial estate in Alfreton and having to survive on a kebab from jimmy's fish bar(please pass this info onto the Nottingham coroner if i don't post on here after tonight) & warm lager from lidl....

The truth about the Hillsborough disaster is finally coming out. Just what most people thought...the police are corrupt as **** and Thatcher was a ****

whats with the thatcher bashing???...... by the time the news got out of sheffield about the crush, the fans were already dead.. she didn't cause it..

what people forget is:
back in those days, footy fans actually did have a terrible reputation for drunken thuggery.... because a lot of the travelling support actually went for the fight & not the match..
the FA had 1/2 of feck all money, so would put semi finals on at whichever stadium was cheapest for them... the big money sky days were several years away
the stadiums in the 80's were no better than livestock pens with some grass in the middle. and most were really old with non existant emergency exits...

i remember it well, its one of those jfk moments.. just like the bradford city fire... thankfully it will never happen again in any civilised country.
the blame should be laid with the stadium & the police.. policemen on crowd control duty have the worst job going... before the crush, there were thousands of scousers shouting, swearing & spitting at them for fun, then suddenly it went wrong & the same officers were faced with thousands of scousers yelling to be let out... what would you do, remembering that the coppers would probably not have had radios.

the disaster was truly awful. the unspeakable bit was the cover up. and the sheffield force should face the full force of the law, and people should possibly serve prison time for this.

BUT thatcher was not to blame...

when will scousers let something lie?
they've never got over the containerising of freight that caused their legendary unionised dock labour scheme (they decided when, if, and how a ship got unloaded with however many people they decided to unload it, and the dockers backhanded the union men so they milked it big time) to disappear up its own ar$e , and basically close the docks
they've never got over the beatles, who for the record, as soon as possible, left liverpool at great speed to live anywhere else...
and as for that sodding song about the ferry...........

but at least they now have the real facts presented & hillsborough will be consigned to history, but at the end of the day, the liverpool fans were not 100% innocent, there were a lot of people rushing in that caused the crush.

sorry for the rant

I loved Thatcher

If we had someone like her in charge the county wouldn't be so fcuked

Can you imagine her letting in half of eastern europe?
Or giving millions of £ to India when there one of the fastest growing economys ?
Or taking the country to the point of bankruptcy?

Doubt it

Crushing the unions is only ever a good thing.

I'm with Mowgli on this one, the police might have been at fault but the fans were too... Let's call it 50/50, but covering up to make it look 100/0 is poor form of the highest order.

i remember the late 70's. the country really had no money, labour had been printing extra cash to pay wages...the IMF was knocking at the door, we were pretty much as screwed as greece now is. then the tories got in.. and started cutting dead wood, and there was a huge amount of it to cut.. the railways were not paying, and were on strike all the time. the miners were always on strike for absolutely everything..and they were amongst the highest paid workers in the land.. but like you said, the mines simply weren't paying.. then scargill kept them out thinking he would bring thatcher down (funded by russia apparently!!!) and in the process brought down the mining industry. this happened nearly 30 years ago, and there are still people in my area who are unemployed miners!!! who believe the state owes them a job, i personally knew one who spent 25 years dodging every offer of work the jobs people sent him.. citing lack of bus route...etc. he's now retired..

i'll tell you what has really worried me recently.... the unions were very quiet after '97 cos their man got in.. then he got re-elected & they started to settle a few scores....lets stop foxhunting as only rich landowning b4stards do it etc....then he got in for a third time & the money was running out.... but they were happy cos their members had all got pay rises, and until yesterday, it was nigh on impossible to sack someone etc.... then mr brown really screwed up & announced massive cuts, just in time for the election, then the old union dinosaurs came out again... their rhetoric was just the same as the early seventies, when they brought this country down to power cuts & 3 day weeks.. they are planning massive strikes, the labour run councils have been shutting swimming baths, libraries & toilets & blaming the tories....

people who were great leaders are usually hated for about 20 years after they leave office.. remember, churchill lost the 1st general election after ww2

Search 'Vauxhall Nova' on Ebay and get 21 fcuking pages of over priced replacement calipers, ignition coils and EGR valves! Starting to detest Ebay, less and less good stuff on there and it's flooded with motor factors trying to sell parts at rediculous prices! They keep having to push free listing weekends to get people to sell but it doesn't seem to be working. Might be worth reducing their extortionate fees, people might start selling again.

Finding both rear brake cylinders siezed on the Swing and not being able to get replacements until tomorrow :( Oh well, at least they are only £8 odd each

the main difference is that when people sign up to be a soldier, they already know that people will be shooting at them & they will be shooting at other people, and are trained & equipped to suit.... normal coppers aren't expected to meet a psychopath with grenades & a handgun in a part of manchester ffs..... that man should be chained up somewhere & left to rot

Exactly this, at the end of the day that is what they signed up to and they are on tour in a war! 2 female officers responding to a call being gunned down in cold murder is, and deserves to be reported differently in the news!

Don't get me wrong I support the forces, and work for a defence company making them better equipment but comparing it to the tragedy of the female officers is wrong IMO!!!

Creation finance, complete bumholes imo!!!

Just had a nice conversation (as always) with a lass from sky, who put me through to creation (the finance company who take the monthly installments on my car insurance) as i want to change the payment date, the novas insurance payment comes out on the 27th of every month, the astra comes out on the 1st, i wanted to move it back so theyre both on the same date.

Got told it was too late to do it now, i said thats fine, can we change it from next month, oh you will need to ring back again, ring back on the 20th of october and we can look at what dates might be possible!

After getting the usual kind and helpful service that im used to from sky, to be told all this bluntly by a woman who didnt even give me her name is damned annoying, not to mention the fact that my astra's insurance payments originally used to come from a different account, when i started my novas insurance they just swapped my payments over from the other account and started taking them on a different date without even asking/telling me (i only remembered that after id come off the fone ffs)
