In that case the other insurance co should still cover the cost to me, but its still hassle you don't want. Going through an insurance claim is a PITA enough as it is (I should know, see above lol), and takes long enough - anything that disrupts things and makes it take longer is more hassle. My wife needs a car to get to work, and luckily we have the GT4 to use for the time being, but if the avensis was our only car I'd not particularly enjoy having to wait for repairs or a courtesy car whilst the other insurance company sorts out the inevitable paperwork and other such mess their customer made

206 failed it mot on a lower ball joint. Can you buy the ball joint seperatly? nope! Bought a new complete suspension arm, get home look in the haynes manual and it says you can't re-use the old nuts, of course the new arm didn't come with any. Surely a swift google search will tell me what nut size I need so I can be prepared before taking it apart, no clues to be found. Its times like this that make me realise how easy a Nova is to work on.

I had a really bad back a good while ago, it was permanently in pain, my left shoulder was 2" lower than my right one, the whole thing was tight.
The back stretcher my brother used took 3 sessions (1/2hr) of manipulating my back on his table, and I've been sorted for 16 years. I'd been sceptical before, but if I need to see one again, I'd have no qualms about it.

The "gangsteller" (hydraulic robot that changes gears on a manual box) lost 2 of its 3 mounting bolts and shearing the bracket with the remaining bolt clean off. Alas, gangsteller housing knackered. Dealer fixed it by mounting the housing with 2 bolts and loads of loctite. Sorted now.

Not sure if anyone else has noticed it but not indicating is a lot worse now with some modern cars with adaptive lights. If a car is travelling on a roundabout the O/S fog light will be on, when they indicate off the car will automatically put the N/S fog light on, if they don't indicate the O/S stays on so you think they are still going round.

Yeah mate that's what I'm finding,it's been roughcasted on the outside so I've only the inside to do but it's bad enough.i bought masonry paint from screwfix and it's a slow process..I actually found an old tin of b&q base coat in the loft and it seems to go on better as it's thicker and fills the holes.may just use it and put the other stuff on top.

Today for me has been one of them days where I've been a magnet for dickhead drivers, although I have some nice footage of a BMW brake checking me on the M62 the other day, the speed camera gantrys were displaying 60 mph so I was doing that, a car beside me kept slowing down and speeding up so I couldn't move to the left, dickhead in BMW was literally an inch off my back bumper shouting and waving his hands about telling me to move over, even though I couldn't.

Moved over as soon as it was safe to do so only to be brake checked and him shout and rant some more, I think for a fight, like fuck was I stopping on the hard shoulder of the M62 to fight this guy lol

Hmmm could be worse. Returning from a works assignment in Berlin, which normally is a 7 hour drive. Just outside Braunschweig (try pronouncing that haha) I hit heavy traffic in which I covered a measly 6 miles in 5 (yes FIVE!) hours due to horribly bad organised German roadworks. No temporary junctions, no detours, nothing. All in all the drive home took over 12 hours. To say I was not amused would be an understatement.

checked the plugs and all had oil in them. Then compression test and all 4 cyclinders are down 40 psi. Due to the overheating issue, the noise it's making the misfiring the detonation and the low compression the guys on gt40c think its ringland failure.

I had an unstoppable nose bleed last year, mrs is a paramedic so we sat it out for a while and it wouldnt stop. Went to the hospital and they said they need to put 'rapid rynos' in. Wondered wtf they were. Out they bring these things that when you wet them, get slimey, and they jammed them up my nose. No word of a lie, they where the size of my index finger each. The pain was something else. I wont lie, i weeped like a little girl and basically went in to shock....the next thing i know, they pump them up with saline solution to expand them further. I wanted to kill someone.

I only had a bleed in one nostril (left), but there was so much blood and/or they couldnt give a fuck. They did it to both sides. The right side hurt more than the left with these things in. Basically when they pumped the right one up it ripped the inside of my nose and created another place for it to bleed from. A 'wound' about 3/4 inch long that is all now scar tissue. I was in hospital for 3 days with that nose bleed.

I hope to god the pain you had wasnt that bad, id not wish it on many people.

Had this obstical in a track we called a tomb stone, it was designed to be about 8 foot tall and as steep sided as possible. Like what bmx and skate guys call a 'spine'.

This thing is designed to be rolled over just before a corner, in like 1st or 2nd gear at tick over.

Long story short i fucked the run up to it up, hit it pretty much pinned in 3rd (cr250 honda at the time) went in to orbit, completely cleared the corner, landed, but on the bike still, basically impacted the fuel tank/cap with my old fella on the way down because the landing was so heavy. I kinda ripped it open a bit, which was bad enough, but i then had to endure about 2 weeks of swelling a bruising. My name for those weeks could have been Winston.

This thing is designed to be rolled over just before a corner, in like 1st or 2nd gear at tick over.

Long story short i fucked the run up to it up, hit it pretty much pinned in 3rd (cr250 honda at the time) went in to orbit, completely cleared the corner, landed, but on the bike still, basically impacted the fuel tank/cap with my old fella on the way down because the landing was so heavy. I kinda ripped it open a bit, which was bad enough, but i then had to endure about 2 weeks of swelling a bruising. My name for those weeks could have been Winston.
