Woke up at 6am this morning after smelling something burning under the floor, pulled the floor up in the hallway and turned off all electrics. spoke to the lady downstairs and she said she burnt toast so thought nothing more of it. she went to work as did I and my wife went home with our 4 yr old daughter and it smells like a fire downstairs, rang fire brigade and they kicked the door in and found a load of burnt food left in the flat still smoldering, not toast! lying b!tch, she f&cked off to work after lying and left it smoking without telling us the truth. now your front door is smashed you dumb cow! serves you right.
and I bet she'll try moaning at you for the door being put through

I can Guarantee she will, why lie? I'f she'd of said i burn't some food and didn't bother to put it outside I wouldn't of ripped my floor up and called the fire brigade.

Finding that my vacuum pipe had come off my fuel pressure regulator, meaning the engine had been running mega rich and using loads of fuel all week... I did wonder why I'd only managed 150 miles to a whole tank! lol

Totally and utterly fcuked off with my new role at work
Too much work, seriously thought about jacking it in the other night, good money yes but too much grief
what is wrong with your new role????
also, remember, you work to live, not the other way round.
ALOT more work for the same money, stupid managers always having a pop, co workers doing fcuk all to help out
and mainly the fact i was perfectly happy in my old role, knew the job inside out, the chap who took over from me never wanted to do my old job either
so my manager now has two extremely unmotivated employees on his hands, top managerial skills
also in this new role im not in position to do my NVQ level 3 in engineering which is what i need to get a job at Hincley C
if i didn't have bills and a mortgage i would of walked out the other night
sounds bad, whats the new jobs situation like in your neck of the woods??
Hincley C, but i need the Level 3 NVQ, cant get it in my new role
there is NO WHERE apart from the power station that i would get paid the same money, so im fcuked lol
the only hope is that my manager gets moved to another role/shift, this does happen

Just saw the news before. Absolutley disgusting.
Not only the horrific murder, but that it has happened to one of our own soldiers, in the very country they fight to protect.
Honestly one of the worst things I have ever heard.
its truly shocking
i'm worried that this will be the start of some rioting.
it is pretty much the most horrendous murder for a very long time, but people must remember that not every muslim is a terrorist. the vast vast majority are just the same as the christian english people. please don't get involved in any mindless mob mentality.

True but the massive problem now is that you have many people of different cultures and beliefs all living in one area. When stuff gets heated its going to kick off big time with riots and race/religion wars. Brand me with whatever tag you wish for saying that but it will happen in the not too distant future the way things are going
for centuries there has been racial harmony in britain.
this radical islam thing stems from anti-israeli rhetoric. they really hate the jews, and hate anyone who has anything to do with them. the americans back israel financially... thus anyone connected witht he yanks is in the firing line.... this is more to do with politics than anything else..

Today couldn't have gone any more wrong! :( My new clocks, steering wheel and TPS arrived this week so today as it was sunny, I set about fitting them. The old TPS screws were rounded off, so that was a nightmare to remove then the new one didn't seem to solve the problems even after adjusting it, it's much, much better just not as good to drive as with it unplugged!
Then came the steering wheel and clocks, the old wheel was a nightmare to remove! For some reason it had been forced on, and had damaged the nut/threads. So eventually I got that off, and removed the steering cowling to access the clocks. These came out without too much trouble, but after removing them I realised that the printed circuit was in a VERY bad state, and after being as careful as possible, the brittle contacts still snapped and broke off. The new one which I had bought off ebay, advertised as Nova clocks were sadly not nova clocks. They looked the same, but the plug that goes into the back on the new clocks has 7 terminals, where as the old one had 6. So the plug wouldn't work, and after re-fitting the old ones back and turning the ignition on they started to smoke! Removed them again and they're toast, literally! :( Another issue I had was after re-fitting them the dials in the centre don't work properly and the temperature and fuel gauges just go straight to maximum with just the ignition on, and for some reason the plastic connector when plugged in makes the ignition stay on even when you remove the key, probably in relation to the smoke and damaged circuit board! Traced this back to the contact on the rear of the clocks, so left the plug unconnected, and just the speedo itself plugged in. So now I have no gauges, no rev counter and just a speedo. Not a fun day! :(
I'm now at the stage where I am thinking of selling the Nova, as I don't have the patience to work on cars anymore, so if anyones interested, let me know lol.
Why are you driving with the tps unplugged?
Clockes wise sounds like damaged grounds if they are maxing out...
Oh and im pissed off as my car is still in the bodyshop... Whole weekend i could of spent rebuilding it...

The TPS was causing the car to kangaroo at full throttle (I did make a thread a while back about this for more info), with it unplugged the fault goes away, so bought a new sensor which is a lot better, but still does the "brick wall" effect at full throttle at higher revs so until I get a chance to trace it back it can stay as it is, as it drives fine with it unplugged. With regards to the clocks, it must be printed circuit related as that was the only thing that smoked (you could see it) as it had come into contact with another. The wiring all seems fine going back towards the dash, but will check it once I get hold of some clocks that actually a. work and b. fit a nova. :)
My truck has been moved so now the sun is glaring on my tv screen. *******s! lol

Yes the Mk1 plug has only 12 terminals rather than 14, as the remaining two (oil pressure and rev counter) have separate spades on the backs of the gauges. Also the Mk2 clocks have mounting lugs on the top and sides of the clocks
Mk2 have more terminals yes.the plug is bigger for it
Sounds like someone has cut the mounting lugs off

Decided to take the MR2 to York for a few runs now I've finished running it in. Ended up overheating after about 70 miles just as I came off the motorway. Let it cool down a bit and nearly made it home before it started overheating again.
Only seems to be overheating after prolonged driving at the same revs, been fine for a few months with varied driving so not a clue what is wrong with it. Pissed off to say the least.
Water pump?
Don't think so as its fine when being thrashed and at high revs. I'm thinking thermostat, radiator or unfortunately head gasket at the moment.
But that's cause its working harder, at the l reve there might not be enough force to turn it.. Fixed a Corsa XE doi same. The impellers had come of the shaft..
get the rad flushed & swap the stat... also have a look at the expn bottle cap
Engine was rebuilt about 600 miles ago, however I didn't replace the water pump as it looked pretty new and they are not known for failure on these cars. Has metal impellers on this one, always had problems on pumps with plastic impellers.
This car has a pressure cap before the expansion bottle so bottle isn't pressurised. Tried swapping this pressure cap with the chargecooler one for the journey back as they are both the same, however made no difference.
Got a new rad sat around so will fit that and a new stat. Going to be a nightmare testing if I've fixed it as it only does it after about 60 miles on the motorway.

Did it overheat properly (ie boil over out of expansion tank) or just slightly? My temp gauge is going to about 2/3 when it should be at 1/2 all the time but if I reduce the revs it comes back down.

Yes it did boil up and the temp gauge went right up to the red supposed to be half way aswell. Did that for a few days before it went pop, but along the seam of the rad at the top was leaking out water, then replaced it for a koyo rad.

I was sucker punched when I left the pub to go get more money out of the cash machine, knocked me clean out! my dentist asked me if I went to the hospital after being punched, I laughed and told him 'no! I woke up, got up, went and got the cash I needed and was straight back to the pub' lol

Yesterday: missing the ferry home due to French roadworks, and having to wait 4 hours for the next one, then getting off the ferry and finding the A2 shut and everyone diverted down a dirt track, including HGV's!
All in all I should have been home at 9pm ish, but landed home at 1.30am, after hooning all the way home from dover to pontefract, mostly in triple figures after I got back onto a proper road.
Got a puncture and discovered I have no wheel brace. This, literally after I had just emptied my trolley jack, socket set etc from the car, about 15 miles away.
Sounds like I have a ****ed rear wheel bearing, and I was invited to a wedding. lol

Whilst waiting at traffic lights, I saw a white Nissan Juke belonging to Sunderland City Council, with a swiveling camera on the roof, proclaiming to be a 'Driving Safety Enforcement Vehicle' or some other guff.
Disgusting. I had a good mind to take a photograph of it. Also, the thing was in County Durham.

Words cannot describe my anger just now...
There's a job I've been doing at work the past 3 days it's a rusher their screaming for offshore at the moment, 2 days ago I went flat out to get as much done as possible then my back to back at work did the opposite, what he did in 10 hours I could have done in 45 mins no joke btw.
Then last night I had to take the job out the machine, turn it over reset it etc etc. absoloutely got torn in to it if I had another hour I would have finished it. But what did the lazy cock sucking arsehole do? About 10 mins work and I'm left to put an angle on I and take it out the machine, nae doot!! Needless to say in leaving him a **** job for tomorrow. Would be leaving him with a broken nose aswell if I could.
Rant over

Do you get asked for jury service if you've been arrested /got criminal record?

It should be easy to fit unless it is made out of crepe paper or gold leaf. I fitted a new replica one to Paul W's Sport a few years back. New is easier as it is not as brittle as an original and there is usually spare material around the edges.
You need some contact adhesive and loads of spring clamps.
Not much, but the cost of temporary car insurance is now scary!!! It was a bargain at £35 for a month (infact cheaper than the main policy lol) on the stupidly expensive to insure Clio 182 this time last year, and its £95 for the equivalent cover on the Passat diesel estate for a month!!!!! *******s.
