last thing that took a chunk out of my tooth was a BLT sandwich... i didn't think bacon had those funny little bones in these days....
My front tooth snapped in half on a Yorkshire pudding that had been cremated!
Those chunks are bone aren't they?
I had a feckin curly wurly rip out one of my fillings last year lol
Coming home and findin some twunt has hit the black turbo on the osr quarter, no details of course!
Of course not, it's just an old car that you'll either fix for 50p or carry on driving as it is!
Reminds me of one of my old teachers friends who spent years restoring a Jag E-type only to have it written off the first day he drove it by a woman that got out the car with half her lipstick done and said "at least it wasn't a new one"

Remember those bones as a kid. Put me off bacon for years. Everything was gristle back then
I was going thru a a bendy bit if road and my steering went on my nova and I lost control no bodywork damage thankfully, now my drivers wheel is tilting in and out as I steer
Edit
Took off strut and strut top where bearing locates was bent up a bit causing bearing to sit squint hammered back to shape and located bearing now its not tilting in and out :)

^ gutted mate. Hopefully doesn't cost too much to get fixed.
Been humped with tax and ni this week :(
As if my week wasn't full of **** ups, cant even be arsed to go into them I'm just sick of being a born **** up and to top it off someone I work with is a snitch and licks the sweetcorn off the owner of the company's **** and has told him of my mistakes (yet claimed none of my mistakes were mentioned in yesterdays meeting).
I've been in the job 5 weeks, mistakes are expected although at this point I should have ironed the majority out granted, but when I'm told to be here then there within a time limit then preferably back by 4 when I have 30 drops to make in a massive area. Easy for some ****er to be sat in an office getting bored of looking at a screen, I'm driving I cant get distracted!

I was fcuking livid. Going to cost £200 to get the bumper painted because some moron cannot drive!!!!

Z20NET engines! What a barstuard to work on! Theres me thinking a clutch change would be fairly easy, and I still ain't got the chuffing gearbox off!! It would be easier to drop the whole subframe with engine box n suspension to do the flipping thing. I could have done a nova conversion by now!
Cracked my 16i's washer bottle. :(

New cars are built to do i that way. Almost all new cars want the whole lot dropped off, it's how they factory fit them.

re the eu bit, we sort of have to pay... Thank labour for that one... The tories kept negotiating rebates...
Re the immigrants....this country has had 3000 years of immigrants.....all of us are not native...
Re the welfare state....it should be cut so that people who are unemployed & couldn't care less don't get enough money to live on.... Simples....
Re the public sector....it took labour 11 years to build it up bigger than ever after 18 years of tories cutting it back.... More cuts will come
re overseas aid.... It should be cut to zero, then the money saved should be used on border guarding.

Cranking over a freshly built c16xe and .......................................feck all oil pressure, bugger lol oh well have a look tomorrow
getting involved in a very strange vehicle repair........
an almost brand new 360 digger was being climbed up an earth bank into a site. the driver was turning it round to get a better position and ended up with it pointing uphill at such a sharp angle that the oil wouldnt pull out of the hydraulic tank to the pump, thus it couldn't move at all...
we ended up calling a friend with a massive 8 wheeler crane wagon.. it wouldn't lift it, but they had a friend with an even bigger wagon with a crane.. so with this digger balanced precariously on a ledge at a 45 degree angle, we lifted the back up, whilst i was undoing ram pipes to get the arm to move, and finally we got it safely into the job....
i was soaked with rain & then hydraulic oil, and also had to keep the driver, who is my nephew & my brother, who is the boss apart...
but what really pissed me off is that the woman at the site can't make a decent cup of tea!!!!!!!

I found a set of Engelmann mirrors complete and in mint condition on Ebay. Was watching them but nearly forgot to go back and bid at the end of the auction. I remembered and quickly clicked on it to see 3 seconds left. Unfortunately I could not get a bid in quick enough and they sold to somebody else for a measily £26 :(

i agree on JB over LH on personality, but JB doesn't seem to have the fight in him to wring the neck of a car for the last few tenths like Lewis has.. i don't understand why mclaren has gone so far back this year... its lead driver is supposed to be the smoothest out there, so he should make the tyres last.. he is qualifying on similar times to perez.. be the car really has no all out pace, and cos of these dodgy pirelli things, qualifying is all important to get off into the distance at the start

My Lawnmower wont start :(
and the fact that i can rebuild a c20xe and do engine swaps without thinking but ive never even touched a lawnmower engine so i havnt got the foggiest where to start lol
Spark plug is normally a good place, rest is normally pretty foolproof. Most of the time I've had issues with petrol powered gardening equipment pulling the plug out, possibly replacing it and turning it over a few times to push any excess fuel out has seen it go again.
Also for some bizarre reason I've never understood dipping it in petrol sometimes helps, although logic dictates that's the same as flooding the engine really and means it shouldn't spark as the spark will just transmit straight to earth through the liquid
edit: Also checking it's actually sparking while it's out, obviously, although that can be tricky with one hand, use feet lol

It just amazes (and disgusts) me how someone who has never contributed a penny to the system can receive exactly the same treatment as a working person who pays their National Insurance. Oh in fact better cos they get free prescriptions and dental care
The idea of the NHS is fantastic if it was only available to the people it was intended for...working people and their families

Now I don't want to appear racist here but when I go to hospital for a blood test etc, it is like I have teleported to a bloody third world country. Most patients don't speak a word of English and we pamper to them by providing leaflets and forms in various languages. If I moved to Spain, I would learn to read & write Spanish!

As people have said, it is not just immigrants that are sucking the country dry(In fact the vast majority put a lot of money in to the economy). It is the minority who think the rest of the country owe them a living whilst they sit on their arese doing sod all. Then you get the do gooders who start banging on about human rights if you take benefits away from them!
I work bloody hard and pay a lot of tax to get sod all in return. I could rob a bank, murder, rape or steel etc & I would get better looked after than in a hotel. Prison is a punishment, seems more a reward to me and they get training and help when they leave. No wonder most re-offend, they want to go back and get fed and looked after again.
I cannot judge as I do not know their personal circumstances but we get Motability customers that look perfectly healthy and have no trouble getting about with free cars paid for with disability benefit. They come in moaning that the car is no where near as good as their second car, for example a Mercedes atomatic?!? WTF? It is there as a mobility aid, not to supply people with a second car! There are many out there that rightly deserve one, like people who are wheel chair bound or can hardly walk.
I heard a woman on the radio complaining the job centre could only find her a job in retail. She said she had trained in youth care or some other crap and she was unsuitable to work in retail, they should now that. Err, I don't pay tax for her to claim benefits because she doesnt fancy the job. Get off yer fat lazy **** and get a job you leach!

One day to go and she's not sure on the colour of the bridesmaids dresses FFS
I had that for a month solid before I got married mate. Everyday something else wasnt right lol good luck and all the best tho
All the best for it Edd.
What's pissed me off today is it being the 9th day since I dropped my car off for a head gasket change and being fed bull**** excuses that they are waiting on a tool to fit the valve stem seals.
cheers Si, hopefully it will all go ok
i know from past experience that you do need a different tool for the stem seals, took us a while to find the right one

Guy on a bike hit the car last night as I was getting out if the car, no damage to the car, he had a little dent on his bike and scuffed a sticker. Our doors have lights inside when they open. I think he got squeezed by a passing car and moved too close to the parked cars as I opened the door only a little.
He didn't come off or get hurt at all, but reckoned his white/yellow/black Scott bike was ruined for a dent and scuffed sticker

He phoned me Saturday after the incident to say the bike shop reckon its a write off, £700 for a new one. Not that it can't be paired but its cheaper to replace it with a new one.
He wanted my insurance details so he could attempt to make a claim.
The insurance company are aware, I checked the Highway Code for cyclists and it states to leave plenty of room when passing parked cars, he also must have seen me indicate and pull over if he came from the where he said he did. I reckon he was squeezed by a passing car and had no choice but to run close to me.

But had to change the side light which was bad a bumper off job
Also a punto pissed me off cause it was 4 cars high at scrappy and I had to climb up to remove the headlights for my mates sister
finding out that 'tack coat', the liquid emulsion stuff you use to get fresh tarmac to stick to old tarmac, is hugely attracted to the plastic bits on the inside of washing machines.... and then having to wipe petrol round inside it to get the nasty brown stuff off... i'm still dizzy from the fumes.
diesel is better for cleaning tarmac isn't it?

yes, bitumen does melt with diesel on it, but this tack coat stuff is not bitumen, its a sort of a paint.

Same here, but i also get Performance VW mag, atleast twice as thick, most cars, much much more write ups, better photo quality. Sadly a much better mag.
TV mag has been crap for most of the time i've ever read it... i read fairly fast, and once the regulation reg&al sponsored article has been ignored, there really isn't much to read... i usually buy 'motorsport' mag. it takes me ages to get thru that
I keep buying practical classics as it's quite a bit of reading & i like older cars anyway,i keep expecting to see a feature on a nova at some point but no...it must still seem like a chav wagon to them lol
PC mag officially hated novas for ages, but they did a cheap car feature last year....
PPC mag won't entertain them at all
putting work trousers on for the first time in ages! missed the shorts!

Not seen 1 nova here either! Usually always see a few when I'm away
My sister. I have a two bedroom flat and share it with her, I was here about 5 months before her and it was all good times by myself except it was a tad too much when the rent/bills were paid, so she moved in and everything got halved, had to add her name to the contract as I was made redundant from my last job.
Bit of a brief on 'her': We're both from Co.Durham. She spent 9 years in London at uni then living/working there. 28 years old now and she works in a pub (well done on her getting somewhere with Uni lol)
We've had a few arguments over her being 'sh!t' at doing general house work and after every argument she picks up and does her share for a few months then slacks off again, its at the point now where I'm sick of her sh!t and sick of her and I'm half tempted to throw her down the stairs followed by her bags but that would land me in gaol.Shame.
Anyway many f*cking arguments later and we're back to square one, shes **** and lazy and some of her london mates are coming up in a couple of months. Doesn't matter what I say as her name is on the contract she is entitled to invite people round.
She's twenty-f*cking-eight and can NOT clean up after her self, not even take the rubbish bag out to the main bin as shes walking down the stairs, yet she harps on at me when she cleans the bath and hoovers 2 rooms!
I'm so p!ssed off and so sick of her, but I'm not sure I can afford to live by myself.
She looks like me but shorter and with longer yet thinner hair.
No more pic requests please.
