its all done via the coilovers they increase and decrese pressure on each corner to shift the weight
yes very light:thumb:
what coilovers you running on this again. when you say they increase and decrease pressure, is that spring pressure or shock pressure?

Car cover and in the garage? Are you really Keith Robinson!?lol
Personally I would of stuck with the harder compound as their mega soft anyway.
Make sure you get the pressures sorted when you test the car as they will go off in a few laps if their not right.

Should be ok for the handling circuit, my mate was sent the harder compound ones by mistake and struggled with grip at the Sprint last sunday so i think the soft ones will be ok for totb and drag use.
I'd be looking at 20-22 psi for the sprint course and just see how you get on, might need to run them a touch higher, for anytrack use you would want about that in them as after a lap or two they will of raised in pressure a fair bit.
Watch for how their wearing, they will wear the centres out in a few laps if the pressure is too high so better to start low and work up, not the other way round.

then i continued with the heat control, i wondered with the charegcooler being bolted to the engine if it was picking up any heat i attached some more fireproof matting see if it makes a difference :) charge temps are fine but cooler is always better just an experiment at the moment

no nothing yet, will need more power to compete with the tigras running 11's but its not a bad start for first runs in the car!!! the tigras have 100-180 bhp more than the nova) but the car is not all about 1/4 mile
the 3 tigras and suttons corsa are built for one thing 1/4 they all run much much bigger turbos (gt35r's) than me also, but if i had a decent 60 ft time i wouldve been low low 12's whihc is very good2.9 60 ft is very poor its quicker to walk :P
12.7 is no slouch tbhi dont wanna chnage to much on the car as it drives so well on the road, maybe try winding the boost up abit higher up the range will have a word with mapping guru dave today see what he thinks
the actuator on the turbo is removed and being refurbed due to a torn diaphram hopefully that will arrive today and get it back on the car!!!

after rebuilding the actuator with new 20psi spring, checking the turbo penny valve, all boost hoses, and replacing a missing bolt on the manifold
went for a drive to see my mate in neath and dia few pulls now its all back together all seems well so far, these logs were done on the road so unable to hold it flat out for any great deal of time due to traffic etc but its holding 1.5bar or just over
but it seems to go alot better now, going to get it to hold 1.8 at totb it was holding 1.1bar :cry::cry:

Not really true - if you hit someone, it would actually be softer, as there is less of a front panel and no sold metal bumper bar!?
What about the thousands of massive 4x4 pieces of scrap, with huge climbing frames on the front?

overall the car was greatly recieved and people were astonished how quick it was going even spinning in the first 3 gears, a 500bhp sierra cosworth was my play friend for the day we had a good few laps chasing and following he was on full slicks which helped him alot (and the fact he can pedal fair play) on the straights the nova was pulling a good few car lengths, he would ctach me through the bends and off it would start again up the straight!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v227/RSGBodystylingska/33781_502039258901_502063901_7147436_5931613_n.jpg
managed to out accelerate a supercharged arial atom up to quarry :) also had a good blast with a radical though he couldnt loose me on the straights he soon pissed off once a corner arrivedbut was good fun
top speed i hit at avon rise was 141mph on the spa clocks, averaging 120-135 i just need to be braver the car has alot more potential... but it'll come
the nova did about 40-45 laps in total with the only issue a small hole in the bottom header tank hoses caused by the jubilee clip
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v227/RSGBodystylingska/novatrack1.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v227/RSGBodystylingska/62497_10150281394995133_692325132_14923905_946786_ n.jpg
will foy also attended though he was to tight to pay £10 to be a passenger
i was concerned with regards oil temps and coolant temps rising after sustained use, but it was fine coolant temp didint go above 81degrees and the oil temps averaged around 97degrees after a 30 minute session
chareg temps where also superb averaging around 28-30degrees again constant over the 30 minute sessions
the car is now back in the garage and will be sorn'd in a few days and left to rest for the winter
the girl did me proud and the love for her is back better than ever. i was learning the car all day and by 2-3pm was really starting to press on but a red flag ended the session then the rain started so we decided not to chance our luck in the rain, so came home.
main thing is the car didnt break and is in one piece allways a good end to a day

well after the last track day it became apparent the cavalier rubber coolant hoses i was using were getting a bit tired, the pipe from the back of engine to header tank kept splitting every time i did the jubilee clip up, anyways time to go silicone and renew the lot
spoke to merlin motorsport yesterday regarding some samco xtraflex hose as you can see its pretty awesome, not cheap but will do the job :)

So what turbo are you going for now ?
a roller bearing t38 conversion from vince at cr turbos (same turbo housings as currently, just new wheels and bearing housing etc)
my issue is due to the way jay has built the manifold and angled the flange,i cant physically go any bigger in size as it would mean the rads sticking out even further or getting a new manifold made, so i will make the most of what i can and get as much as i can out of this thing, once done vince says he has seen 460bhp.... which will do nicely :)

16-11-10, 09:37 PM
It's not a t34 any more it's a t38 so midway between a 34 and a t4!!
How ever externally it's the same size
okay im lost lol
*goes off to research what has been said
As far as the external casings are concerned its identical to the T34 that comes as standard on a Escort Cosworth, however this one has the compressor cover machined out to accept a larger wheel.
From what I am told their good for 460 @ 26psi on a YB and they don't like high boost levels.
Perfect IMO for a fwd car though as it won't be so responsive that it makes it a complete **** to drive.
Look forward to seeing some results !
discoinferno
16-11-10, 10:12 PM
It's had a larger exhaust wheel also. I don't plan to run massive boost probably 26- 28psi max
14th I ll have results :)
Ahh i see, just not really clued up on different turbo sizes.
Sounds ideal for what you want it for

response should improve along with midrange torque, power will be held longer with the new inlet manifold design!
