Under the inner wing I think you ment Scott it would get splashed to buggery without something

Sorry i didn't see your replies.
THe box is to inclose the AFM and air filter from water/dust/dirt/stones and such that might be flying around the wheel/arch when driving.
It's open front the front for air flow and there will be a air intake on the top from my wing vent.
What?

With the steering arm mods done the tracking was miles out. So Petor came over with his gauges to reset it for me.
Simple mirror with light and gauge set up.
Petor dived in and did it all. Got it back to 0
Then i drove it.... Christ it was shocking. Trying to turn left, tramlining like crazy. Barely driveable. Dan drove it and said it tired to change lane on it.. After a chat, I was thinking it was still tracking, Dan was thinking gearbox/cv/shafts or something...
After a bit more messing about and be driving it again, i was thinking tracking. Even tho Pete has checked and adjusted it.
Popped to Protyre to get a 4wheel work up done.
Guy says to me as i drive on to the ramp "can you rise the back up? While looking a bit worried, then asked "it's on air yeah?" Nope, static all round i told me as i laughed.
Told him how he has to take the scaning wheel things apart as they have to run on the sides of the wheel not the top and bottom.
Bit of spanner action and we're ready to roll.
The n/s wheel was a -0.36deg. the o/s was off to but not as bad. Not sure what happened or why. But it was reset back to well with in the limits.
Drove it out, was alot better, but still not right. Still kinda pulling and tranblining. Then went giving it maybe 6/10 power in to a left hand corner the car changed lanes. I dont just mean it gently pulled, i mean it yank me hard over in to the left lane.. Scaring the sh*t out of me!
Then start to make a kinda grumbling noise at me.
I'm now thinking Dan was right and i have gearbox/cv/shaft issue.... As what else could make it do that.
On a plus note tho, bump steer seems to have been reduced also totally.

I could be wrong as I am no mechanic ,but it sounds like a bush / suspension issue as it sounds like the geometry is moving when you put it under load ie turning .i would get it on a ramp and get a long arm on all bushes etc to see if there is any movement ,also check your rose joints and steering rack for play ,was the camber checked when you had the tracking done ?
I thought it was running then you did the reverse hubs and put it back on the road? Nothing else has changed?
Yeah, i know all the bolts are done up, lower arm bushes are new. Track rod ends didn't feel like they had any play.. Rack felt ok too.
Camber was checked yes. i get quite a lot..
It was. bar the track rod end swapping sides, nothing else has changed...Which if frustrating.

If it's been put together right it can only point to them. How easy is it to press out the inserts and reverse the taper again to trial it out?
Gonna disagree here Iain; If the car's making noise from the drivetrain it'll be something there / closely related suspension ~ not reverse tapered steering arms.
Hub off, in vice with a socket and it should come out with some pressure.
