He disrupted class by talking to his friends that he hasn't seen in 7 weeks, and continued after being warned several times. His teacher reduced him to tears and is also sending a letter home to explain what is acceptable behaviour! ie no talking.

    He's 8 years old btw!

Having seen his teacher today, he's got a menopausal nazi this year, which isn't great when my son is that class entertainer. Of course as a sensible parent we've had a big chat tonight about how he can turn it around tomorrow. Inside I felt like, what a miserable bitch! Wasn't she excited once..Perhaps I should turn my charm on her,

Jeff, I can relate to this! Last year my son (he was in yr4) who is also the class comedian was getting in trouble for talking. His teacher was 60+ and very old fashioned! This year he has gone back to his yr3 teacher who is mid 20s and he behaves perfectly, but is also allowed to be a 9 year old boy. So much happier and likes school again.

Oh and yes she is fiiiiiiit!!!!

My worry is that he is really popular and he likes everyone to have a laugh, he suffers because of it though as he'll get marked as a 8yr old abso waiting to happen. If she moves him to another class he'll be devastated but I don't want him to get upset when it's time to go to school.

A whole year of misery is a long time and if he hates her he won't work well and I can't blame him. I hope she supports them as much as she punishes them.

He has been lucky the last couple of years as all his old teachers thought he was hilarious and all were fit.
