hi people now ive done 15 post i can now put my car on hear. well as i lost my licence for 18 months for driving like a idiot, ive decided to change the spec of my nova.

well my plans are higher spec engine not sure wot spec yet. wider rear arches (same as the front not over the top) re-spay, new wings, bonnit, grill and gsi bumper, avo coilovers and alloy eccentric top mounts and loads more. so far ive fitted omex 600 ecu and loom, an avc-r apexi boost controller and got a 3" skyline throttle body

was driving down the motoway on the way back from pvs07 with another nova and this and 2 other novas pulled up along side us, looked spot on and just had a realy good road presance, wheels looked smart as they tuck up in the arches nicely to.

Looks to be a big spec, brakes are bloody huge! A downsize to some 17" mim raffinos would suit that!

ive got an equal lenght shaft but i want to do something different now, but thats a secret. when i get round to doing it i will let the secret out. im selling the painted gsi tank now as im getting alloy fuel tank so if anyone needs one let me no, i want ?30 for it.

there 18s and yeah they do rub lol i can't use full lock, so you have to do a 50 point turn too turn around or they will rub on the inner arch. the back rubs when you go over a bump in the road, on the arch behind the skirt and on the rear bumper mainly but when you jack it up and take the wheel off the top of the inner arch is shinny metel lol. but im going to make my own inner aches so it won't rub. i will take some pics of it next weekend when i should be getting my black gsi home. i know i don't have a licence and i can't drive it but i had to buy it because its ?400, standard apart from a backbox witch isn't loud and it just needs a bit of paint work and tiny bit of welding to be mint again, plus if i dont get my turbo done in time for pv09 when i get my licence back, i will have the gsi to go there in.

well the engine and 6 speed box is up for sale when i take it out. its not standard ether, low comp forge pistons, arp rod bolts, arp head studs, 8v baffle plate with built on gaskit, 1.9mm still head gaskit, re-con head, hybrid upgrade kkk16 turbo bigger inside and 360 bearings, custom intake pipe to turbo, turbo dynamics actuator, 4 paddel clutch, new hydrolic followers, thats all i can think of off the top of my head any one interested i want ?2200 for it its only just run in on standard boost. i done 1600 miles since i built it. sounds sweet when running.
anyway back to what im going to do to the car. well new engine, 2.1 this time with still rods, custom inlet, big turbo, custom cams and more. soon as the engine is done then im going to move onto the body work and other bits.

well ive been thinking today about what to do. i want to make 4wd but still not sure yet. i want big power and i want to get it down as well. i want to use c20let. was thinking of using cossie running gear but not sure if it will mate up to the engine? mite have to use calibra runnig. anyone got any ideas?

the colour is tvr blue and green. im keeping the colour when i get it painted again as it does look the nuts. the wheels mite look good but they do rub at the mo and the tyres are ?100 each.

thats the front one its got a bigger one on the back same size as the rad. the front one is the biggest one i could get in there when the intercooler is on.

That video span me right out, i heard that diesel ticking over in the background while the camera was on your engine bay and thought it was yours ticking over, i was gonna say it sounds awful lol. no it sounded good, the high tick over is probably the idle speed control valve, it's a common fault.

the white nova has got a 1.6 gsi lump in it. the shell is mint. im going redtop it or 3.0v6 it. will have to see how much 3.0's go for first. that rover wernt standard. my 150bhp nova didnt do to bad i dont fink as the rover was 260bhp.

Good progress mate!, that manifold realy doesnt look best suited to a nova though! realy need the turbo as tight to the block as poss!
i wouldnt bother with the cav rad either!, i used a corsa one with a twin kenlowe set up and never had any problems with water temp!:thumb:

i want the intercooler on show as im building it to be stupidly fast. ive got to get the turbo now so i can get the bits all lined up and in place. i hope to get that soon as i got the money. im sorting my girl friends corsa out for pv at the mo. still got to re-spay it and sending my speedlines off to be done in black and put them on it. need a corsa gsi front bumper if anyone has one!!!!????

im building a bike engined hybusa hillman imp and cossie powered mk 1 escort,like i said it was nice hope he puts it together and looks as nice as it did but most people dont they kev the f+ck out of then write them off as they cant drive.

any car dont look good with the wings, bonnit and bumper off !!!! im making it better then what it was as ive found hidden rust under plates that wernt treated properly. and the battery tray was replaced with seam sealer and leaked water in the car. it will be back out in just over a year if all goes well.

ive sold the wheels off it and going to get 17"s this time round as 18"s are just to big on a nova.

HUGE!!!!

Where your lower panel is chopped and the bar welded in I done this to mine and found after hard abuse the welds started cracking as it was trying to twist. I had so angled pieces in to beef it up and all sorted. DOn't know if its something for you to consider, especially if you're going huge power.

but it dont matter as im widing the arches 10mm and tubing the inner arch on the driver side as only been done on one side. there 7 1/2" wide and my 18s were 7"

May I suggest more strengthening on the lower cross member tho. When I chopped mine out I put in a large piece of thick box section and it still started to twist. i needed to add some triangulation too.

hope to get another redtop engine by the end of the week but will be going in my track car on R1 carbs. need to sell few bits so i can order a cage for it as well. then i can get it painted and start putting it back together.
