Sadly not :( I've another computer so had to buy a full version at £1,200.... that's why I don't own a car anymore.
£1200 for a disc??? sh!t the bed....
for that sort of money, i'd expect a slap up dinner & a go on a pair of identical twin sisters too.

Software is usually cheap, its the licenses that cost money lol

I gots a spare speedo cable in the posts today and my new nob from Scott (ooh err) lol

On a side note, has anyone else come across having to grease/lube up a new speedo cable before fitting, i bought one from work on friday and fitted it right away and there is a horrible grinding noise from/behind the clocks, id already ordered the ebay one aswell and ive been told to either lub my current one, or lube the new one and keep the other as a spare!
Ive never used a new cable before now so ive not encountered this before, is it normal as a few peeps in garages have said they think it sounds right but not anything 100%!

Spud, you can lift the plastic scuttle panel up enough to get your hand in and remove the old jet and fit the new ones, that's how I done my Astra and my brothers Astra mk4 coupe, but then again I do have tiny hands flol

The one that just landed from the bay is a 'First Line' one, same as we supply at work funnily enough, is there nothing you can do about it then?
Ive got some bearing grease for my bike thats reeaaallllyyyy light, im going to slap a load of that on the new one and swap them at weekend if its nice weather, see if that makes fix :d

tj, they have independant motor factors in derby...... with the money you'd save from the postage, you'd have been able to buy a new nova....
re the speedo cables...
oil is nearly as bad as wd40 on one, as they drain down. a light grease, like png's favourite, vaseline would be a decent idea, but don't ram tons of it onto the cable, just smear a bit on it & them hand turn it. any resistance & it will not last long

Quote from Megane Sport about the R26R harnesses, effectively yes they are buckle style and road legal as Renault got them E marked but there are no 'off the shelf' E marked buckle style harnesses. But semantics here, it is not the buckle itself that is not road legal, it is the lack of E marking.
"Thanks guys. I am pondering upon the legalities. The R26R harnesses were homologated for road use, other harnesses with the aricraft style buckle are not E marked and therefore not road legal. The road approved ones with seatbelt style latches are NAF.
Would it work to fit .R harnesses to another car (http://www.meganesport.net/community/showthread.php?52246-R26R-harnesses#) and maintain legal status?"

Can you not just leave the standard seat belt stuff in for mot? Would be much easier to drive on the road I'd imagine, especially at junctions when you need to shift about in the seat!
Also how do rally cars pass mot? I wouldn't have thought they had anything other than harnesses.
My harness' passed a proper mot,

but you're right, they are a ball ache on the road.

I thought they needed to have a normal push button buckle to pass MOT.
There "meant" to, but if you take the car to an MOT station and the guys clued up but not Anel, he will realise these are better then a normal seat belt! lol
My old Track car had buckle type and passed every time, it depends if you got a good MOT place that will pass the car as it's safe, or fail it as he's a dick and wants to be anal about it all, fact is he could get arsey as theres no rear seats and the VOSA data base say's there should be! lol
Taken around 20 cars for MOT's over time at different garages and never ever had one query a set of harnesses.

Not if you have declared having them.

My red nova was declared as a 2 seater, changed at same time as engine. So there's an easy fix to the rear seats :p

tbh a standard 8.8 high tensile bolt is fine for a seat. even most suspension bolts are only 8.8, with a few being 10.9
interesting fact: higher tensile strength = much more brittle bolt, therefore less shear strength :thumb:
paul080803

FIA regs are at least 10.8 on seat bolts iirc, it might even be 12.9 but I don't think so. 99% sure 8.8 standard tensile isn't allowed though.
I just got some bolts with omp stamped on them and assumed they were up to the job. lol

These are both the exact models i used to have, need a marrantz power amp as the H/K has removeable bridges to run as either power and pre amp, or as a power amp so i can run two amps with bi-wireable speakers and i used to have a second marrantz amp, running through a digital technics equalizer, a sony and kenwood cd players, a kenwood mini disc player/recorder, and it all went through a set of dark beech coloured Jamo Classic 6 tower speakers, the Mission center as pictured, and a set of Wharfdale Modus rear surround speakers!
