Ive already asked you on fb, let me know what you think of selling the engine setup for! If its cheap i might....
Well after calming down, and speaking to a pal he is going to weld it up propley, if i broke it up id be at a massive loss, wont be at any shows i doubt this year tho due to my ****ed leg :-(
Doesnt matter mate, nova will keep, getting you fixed and back on ya feet is priority, glad youve calmed down on it though, seems to be one of the few things keeping your spirits up at the mo, given some of your FB statuses, and i dont think i have your new number so the cnuts trick certainly wasnt me buddy!

My let has a pot type fly, I'm in too minds as to put a standard flat type on, as I think it would give it that snappy throttle response the xe had, but might make it a bit more harsh, where with the pot type it might be nicer to actually drive.
Just a warning re flat type - if your running big torque, the clutch will start to slip earlier (not last very long) compared to using the pot type...
Last clutch as been in since 2009, with the flat type and if anyone knows how i use the heap you know it gets driven hard lol, didnt have it lightened, was more money and things are tite atm

After drive with a pot one in a XE for a few years, i will fit a flat one everytime!

Sad that road rage appears on a track day, adrenaline must have been high or someone cut someone up maybe.... or a poor loser maybe.
What happened to the shaft then Merris? Too much wheel spinning lol
came out the corner, full boost, bang lol

There's a rear facing vid from the M3 somewhere showing what happened. It was just the same old thing, people getting carried away and thinking its a race.
RE the diff and coilovers, if you are having fun without them and not timing laps (which you shouldn't anyway) then no need. They would definitely improve the car though, no question. A decent plate type may reduce CV failures too.

Looks good out on track! Be careful with them poly spring seats as they raise the ride height a tadge.

Spinning the wheels on lock is what will kill CV's. A plate diff will decrease the amount of steering input needed and limit wheelspin. Extra load from your new corner speed wont put nearly as as much stress on them as they have at current.

Do you run yoko spec 2 tyres on the track? How well do they hold up?
I wouldn't recommend parada spec 2's for track. They are a great budget street tyre but the sidewalls are abit to soft for track imo as they tend to fold on hard cornering. I personally really like yokohama though and have used ad08's in the past and they held up great with bags of grip. A fair bit more price wise but worth it and alot cheaper than r888's.
the spec twos are the best all round tyre, ran them for years now, hold well in the wet, and in the dry, i mite do billing and pvs, i run standard billy shocks and spax springs and a full interior, none of this million pound track spec rubbish lol, come to snetteton on the 8th of april and ill take you for a lap, open diff jonny one wheels all day!!
well, quick update, stuart deleted me of facebook lol.. and ive done a few bits to the nov lol..
number one, did a few shows, and burnouts...

now, most of you know how fucking easy it is to chnge one of these, but ohhhhhh no not on this, the nut on the side wouldnt come out for shit, but nothing a hammer wouldnt sort out, along with a grinder, air chizzle , and swearing!, and during fitting i had to get the lds to grind the inside of the gearbox to get the bloody thing to fit!!
https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xft1/v/t1.0-9/12439529_1094596683937569_858583653033345417_n.jpg ?oh=f9f732ddb5656cbe825ff1c17053c8b4&oe=57045E2A
soon it was back together, but ive found it a shitter so far as it dont have a speedo drive on the diff so going to have to buy a gps thing! crap!!
whilst it was apart , we done abit of tweking to the handling , with 10mm welded in the lower arms, and the caster done by chopper the tie bars etc , was going to look into buying after market tie bars etc, but at 850 you can keep it!!
https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xtp1/v/t1.0-9/12507476_1094596723937565_6637516512968108097_n.jp g?oh=a1b3d3b4493b1c6f4776c2e90ae54f56&oe=570BD228
also got rid of the dodgy washer set up on the tie bar bracket and had these fabbed up

last job to do is a new exhaust flexy, turbo oil return, and found the drivers side floor had vansied over the last year lolol, so a bit of welding is being done as we speak!!
What diff is that?
What is the camber in degrees?
ts a 3j gripper, and i think its 10 degrees, but not 100% , i just gave the car to my friend at ATspeed and said do what needs doing to make it corner better without spending 10000000000million on it, im looking for a brake upgrade aswell to fit under 13inch wheels..
Love the mods, could you not have used Corsa arms? They are 1mm wider arnt they?
Ah plate diff yeah, may not have provisions for a speedo ring then. Heard of grinding casings before for anything that's not an ATB.
10 degrees sounds far too much for anything but oval racing. Mine handled awfully with about 2?!
it couldnt handle handle worse lol, diff was grinding inside, had to take it out and shave the inside of box , piece of shit!

You have to do it on most plate diffs, was it around where the speedo drive sits?
You not bloody scrapped this shitter yet!!!?? Haha mines like a fish tank again not touched it since trax year before last lol, hoping to make it to Pvs this year Mind,
needs to get one of them diffs myself aswell, 1st dibs when you break haha
More pics to follow, but sheds done, needs a gps speedo and then ready to burnout, put new flexy pipes , fuel lines and welding@
