Just looked at that, Lancys car wasn't built in 97, thats the footnote off the Revs feature dude!!!!

i always thought it was built in 99, that'l explain that then.

he lives near me and used to see him quite a bit. he seems to be out and about more now since he has bought a new car...bloody RS4 lol i spoke to him at the beginning of the year about his nova and he said he still has it, i presume he'l still have it now. i might ask him to get some pics up of it.

Thats a cool pic, the great thing is only 3 or 4 years ago, getting enough Novas at a show to replicate a similar pic was almost impossible. But I'd say its doable again now, still thanks to the PNG going strong. Happy days.

Yeah leaf Green. It sucked. Especially with the brown chequered SR interior I dropped in. I had it sprayed metallic British Racing Green in some hope I could make it look like K95VHD.

It was a Red SR, so most likely to be it IMO. Infact I'm sure I've seen that pic (& the Hill name before). It wasnt white btw, but Porsche HellBlau a milky shade of pale Blue like SEAT Canica Blue.

i wouldnt mind another one, but only as a weekend car. when i sold my last one in '99 i went on the hunt for a mega tidy but standard ( ish ) gsi but couldnt find one i really liked.

Andy Hills XE, it is actually a genuine Sport but reshelled & XE'd.
Still a lovely car though, especially the genuine Irmscher rims.

That Andy Hills old Nova Sport that he reshelled and converted to a valver. Was a nice looking car but it no longer exists now I'm afraid.
Engine & irmscher wheels went on to a Mk2 Astra cabby, not sure if the shell is being used as a rally car. I have some of the original Sport interior & the airbox aswell I think

And the bonnet was held on by four bonnet pins, one in each corner, to open the bonnet you had to take it off iirc, the lad bought it for a few hundred quid as it didnt run properly, busted vac advance in the dizzy fixed it, he swapped it over on the back of the flatbed he picked it up on and drove it home:thumb:

This is owned by a chap called Chris North from malton he built that car up from a shell himself so I doubt its the same car?........ Its been around some years now and is as far as Im aware its still an xe on dellorto's. Saying that things may have changed as its been a few years since I was last talking to him.

A wee convoy that turned into more of a mini thrash, for those of us later in the queue at least lol There was a pic of my SRi cooming up the straight in the feature, was a good day out! Will have to dig out my pics and find a scanner!

I bought C318 TVT in Ulverston (Cumbria) waaaaay back in 1993, and sold it 1994-95 up in Lancaster when I changed to a Manta GTE. A lad in the army bought it.

My friend Adrian had the resprayed non-stickered Sport (with all the Cibies) in Lancaster. He used that for years until he caved in and bought an Astra GTE 16v in 1998. Can't remember who he sold it to, but it was a worn-out wreck by then lol. His had the 108 cam though.

C83 EKK (the Sport in front of my old Cavalier) was the rusty one I bought in November 2002 from an autotester in Burgess Hill (West Sussex). I drove it home to Horsham, parked it up and never drove it again. I had big plans for it including a complete body rebuild (and it came with a Safety Devices cage),.......but house renovations meant I had to sell it on for £450 (after paying £475 for it) to a Sport fan/Nova trader in Kent, but I kept the Webers/manifold/airbox/linkages/brackets etc etc.

C296 NFG was the mint SR that I bought from Crowborough to convert.


I have quite a few more pictures of all of these cars that I'll scan in soon.

Even nerdier than that, I started keeping a 'Nova file' in about 1992-93, and I even collected a couple of pages worth of Nova Sport for sale adverts out of newspapers, Motoring News, car magazines and PNG club magazines,.........I still have it to scan :cool:

I was one of the original PNG club members back in 1993 (?), and was something like Member 36 lol
