arch rolling tips?

block of wood wraped in cloth on the outer arch and tap away untill rolled,
dont try roll one spot at a time roll so far and the start again use a heat gun to warm the arch up as not to crack the paint

u can get the proper ones which bolt to the hub

I had an old copy of car mechanics that suggested warming paint then using a broom handle and gently working along the length.

Alternatively you can take it to a body shop for ?50

Or if you have them hammer and wooden block/dolly and carefully tap the lip up.

just make sure once done that you fully seal it and remove all the muck prior to starting. if yu hammer a Novas arches up it'll spread the gaps and with a curved up edge water will get in!

i'm just about to do mine i was thiking of cutting a few slots either end then doing the wood and hammer theory the sealing it all up.

Bearing in mind that your arches are missing a bit of paint due to flakey surface rust, I'd clean the rest of the paint off, probably the paint behind the lip too to start with. Quick brush with some rust remedy, followed by hammer and a block of wood, progressively working along the arch, knocking the lip up untill it's fully folded back onto itself. Swiftly followed by a coat of good etch primer, and half a tin or so of seam sealer per arch.

i took me front wings off put a bag of sand on the bench and then bashed the lip down until flat and sealed it with seam sealer. easy and u dont get hammer marks n also you can get a proper swing on the hammer. the rear ones use a hammer and a wooden dolly and seal so u dont get crap n water rustin the fold!
