I've done the brake lines, cut heater matrix pipe, cleaned up and painted engine mounts, fit mpi fuel pump and turned the linkage round.
So got the engine sitting in the bay today, next weekend I'll tidy things up and do the wiring, I still need to get a radiator and some hoses

It's all coming together pretty quick now

    Nice one bud!

How much did you cut the matrix pipes down by and was that just enough or more than enough?

    Looking good all fitted.

Had the day off so got a couple bits done.
Finished the wiring and tidied it up, fit the coil pack also put the washer and coolant bottles in although I could do with new ones as these are manky.
I put the sfi box on just to make sure it fits, had to push back the scuttle a little but all is good.

Got a few things I still need to buy yet
    Radiator and fan
    Coolant hoses
    Cv joint
    Rubber boot for sfi box
    Some kind of air filter
    Spark plugs
    Oil and filter
Ht lead from coilpack to dizzy

    Think that's about it.

Here's a couple pics and also a pic of the matrix pipe clearance

Getting there now pal. New Header tanks are hard to come by now I just left mine in strong tfr in a bucket of boiling water for a bit and come out well. Also try putting some rice inside and shake it for 10 mins it breaks down the brown crap inside.

My OCD won't allow me to have dirty stuff in the engine bay. When it came down to the washer bottle and coolant tank I gave them a rough internal clean with a suitable bendy brush and then put them in the dishwasher. Aside from the really hard to reach areas of the washer bottle the rest came out really well.

Thanks for the pic of the matrix pipe!
