So had been looking at a few other owners projects and really liked the look of the polished fearless front strut brace. I knew this would be very hard to get hold of.
What I did manage to find tho is this brand new sparco one. Very good price too.
I had one fitted to my last nova so I plan to go to town with the polishing to get this looking great.

These will also need some work too. Correct length original Nova bonnet lifters. These are used but seem to move with some force.

So been doing lots and spending lots over the last few months.
Having taken some sound advice from Benn in terms of polishing to a high mirror finish.
I’m not quite at his standard yet but happy with what’s been done so far:

Also been adding to my window surround collection. Just need the passenger curve and bottoms for the front doors then a good set of rears.
These will all be rubbed back and sprayed eventually when I have them all.
What I do need to look into is the front door rubbers as I cannot picture what the Sr/Sri ones look like against the standard.
Will look smart when done. Will also add the repo B pillar vinyls at the same time to finish it off.

Also with the dial issues mine is having (Speedo well out, tachometer not working and fuel gauge working when it wants) I decided to look into a old classic!!
Had one in my 2nd nova and the wiring was dodgy but hoping to make a good job of this one. Have not tested it yet but looks in very good condition, hardly any scratches in the screen. Got it for a pretty good price considering what people are selling these for without wiring.

Tick or curve?
Nice shiny vacuum unit to match the rocker!

Decided to go down the washer bag route as I’ve only had a front washer plumbed in anyway. Allows me to start tidying the bay and doing some wire tucking.
Not sure if I’m gonna chop the bracket off tho, will see how reliable it works.
In the next week or 2 I’m hoping to clean up the slam panel, fill the holes from where the bonnet strut used to screw in and re route the bonnet cable out of the bay
