Well its not confirmed although I wonder if they'd confirm if asked. Have you looked at the pics and can confirm its a Sport?

You can see one of the mounts on this Nova but I'm not sure if its the correct mount, is there any other ways of being able to tell? Tailgate is off an early car too so all the suspect things I've spotted so far say its either a genuine Sport or its re-shelled into a shell of same age.

Oh also rumour has it, its the vauxhall heritage museum bidding on it too.
It has a later slam plate but probably means it was replaced with a genuine later one. Never heard of differing engine mounts other than for different engines?

I've had a search but cant find the thread, but basically a member on here had a Nova 'Sport' (I dont know if it was real or not) and a LOT of people argued about it being genuine or not and one of the big points was the fact that early Nova's had a captive nut on one of the mounts (its the one of the very few things I remember from the thread) also the fact that Nova Sports were white but this one had some internal panel gaps painted brown.

Surely someone must know the thread I'm on about?!

Could I also draw you're attention to Autotrader.

Easy to find, just search Nova on there. Should find 5 results.
What interests me is the 1986 C reg Red Nova 1.3 SR. From the 33 photos I can only say it's clean as hell, the MOT history shows it as genuine mileage.
And to be honest, I'd have this over the Sport if I were to pay big bucks for a Nova.
I've joked with the missus that the Astra is going as deposit and her Golf will go as full payment!

If it was a Ford you'd be saying it's worth it

Sad that you waste your time spamming the forum with negative nova comments
