It's surprising how many engines I've seen that on tbh. Won't be the first or last.
You don't want a spring or turn buckle on there, it's only to tension it then it should be removed
Looking good though, will be quite a quick little car !

Yeah I like the turnbuckle cos it looks different and makes people think I know what I'm doing!!!! This engine will run a cover though so I'll ditch it.
Darren actually said, once it told him that it was round the wrong way, that he was certain he had the same discussion with someone last time he built an XE and told himself it was that way round!! He's getting old bless him!!
Can't wait for the next bits to be done, all getting a bit un-shonky

Ha I suspect there was a clue there in who did the last engine maybe ?
the turnbuckle is a nice way of tensioning them actually, I won't deny that !
My fun with engines and engine builders is well documented!!
The turn buckle is a nice little touch, as you say, good for tensioning, especially when it's down in that chassis leg!!!

So as I'm a courteous trackday driver, I figured this mini is bang on one, I'll let him through and give chase, maybe learn a thing or two!!
Maybe not!!!!!
Ever thought of taking up rally cross?love the videos and the updates.
