I had problems with tramping, look at the video "2nd times run" on page 30. I had to extend the suspension travel and soften the rebound to minimize this problems.
Do you run a Quaife Torsen LSD (i do)? I've got the suspicion that a plated differetial would probably get rid of the trampling, even when running an extremely hard suspension setup.

Ive tried all sorts of settings but cannot seem to get rid of it. im hoping if i rose joint the lower arms then it will help as its the only poly bush left on the front suspension.

i have a harry hockley plate diff. it only does it when the diff is locked and im turning pretty tight. I think what ever tyre is doing the slipping when turning its tramping instead of spinning smoothly. its pretty bad it feels like its going to destroy a driveshaft.

I was thinking it's been a while since this was updated but just noticed a year has gone by, anything new to add to this awesome machine?

anything new to add... mhh let me think.... quite a lot actually

sorry for not posting in a very long time. After having a bit of a downer the past few months i found new motivation and a new project.
Not much happend in the past year so i wont bother to write that down instead i'm looking forward to the things that will come.

Lets start with the Basics: after long and hard thinking about my little nova and what to do with it i decided to get rid off the front wheel drive.
When i was searching for an alternative drive train i checked a few options and fell in love with the idea of a mid engine layout. Searching for the
right engine was a bit tricky because i didn't want to just put the existing engine in the back. So an engine from Vauxhall/Opel was out of
the question what lead to consider other engines from different manufacturers. Happily i found an engine that will fit in the back of a nova

    Here it is:

Yes, my new project involves an impreza EJ20 Turbo engine. It's an euro-spec EJ20G with 211hp and 260nm of torque which will replace
the existing 1.6l. I'm planning on running the engine without cat or any exhaust so probably there could be a little more power to be gained.

The rear suspesion setup will consist mostly of subaru parts while the front suspesion will remain as it is now. Furthermore, to complete the
rear setup i will add an upper wishbone to get a double wishbone suspension.

There is of course a lot more to do than just the suspension, for example the ecu electronics which need to fit, exhaust pipes, gear shifter, clutch pedal, cooling, fuel... an so on.
I did a lot of brainstorming to find a solution for every task and i will reveal them as the project progresses.

So happend so far you may ask...

I've bought a subaru impreza gt a few weeks ago, which had a defective fuel pump.

removed the engine, front and rear suspension, and quite a lot of other stuff that will be needed in the near future

    EUDM as f**k

The impreza at the end of it useful life

    ...now on the junkyard.

for the pupose of this thread here's a picture of the nova

    have a nice weekend

    Christ that will be mental.
All I wanted was a Pepsi, just one Pepsi
    Far from suicidal
    Still I get them tendencies
    Bringing back them memories
That I really miss when I reminisce
