    Thanks, if you could ask that would be good, you never know.

    It's far too long since there was an update on this.

    The truth is there's been nothing to report.

    But fingers crossed there is light in the tunnel. Next week my Nova is going off to be finished at A1 Rallysport (owned by Steve Scott, well known for his circuit racing exploits in a huge array of cars, mostly Ford Cosworth).

    Steve used to prepare my own Escort Cosworths, so the Nova will be in good hands.

    Thanks Jezz, I am totally confident in Steve's abilities to do the job, his work on my Escort was always exemplary. The hard bit is accepting that I have neither the time, or more importantly the skills to do the work myself.

    I I have been lax in keeping up with your Nova, where are you with it now?

    not much has been happening with mine ,I had a very nice exhaust made that need the boot floor remodelling to suit so ATM the car is back on the spit to paint the the underside .i still have no engine so I don't think I am going to make the start of the season.I need to do a bit of testing too as the new dampers are vastly different to the old ,I suspect my spring rates will be all wrong now .
    What is Steve doing to yours ,it didn't look far off the last time I saw you post ?

    Mine is really just finishing off. From the top of my head;

    Hydraulic clutch
    new 3J LSD to go in
    make an exhaust system (probably in aluminium)
    Fuel pipes
    brake pipes
    coolant pipes to make in alloy tube
    attaching Carbon doors, front-end and tailgate
    suspension set-up

    Since your last outing Colin in this have any rules and regulations changed?
    Are you needing newer seats, helmet and harnesses?

    Funnily enough I've just been reading something on the 'Uphill Racers' website, and it appears that I will need a new set of safety belts now.

    I've recently bought the newly required HANS device, and a newer set of fireproof overalls. As far as I know the helmet I have is all ok, it should be as it's still current issue in F1!

    I went to the excellent 'Race Retro' show last weekend, and came away with 6 of these 8" x 13" OZ Magnesium wheels for a bargain price;

    Of course they are centrelock fitting, so are going to require some engineering to get them onto a Nova, but it's a possibility for the future.

    They don't exactly fit at the moment.........
