So, I finally got my car back today. Bumpers are all freshly painted in matte black with a yellow stripe, so they'll last this time around.
Anyway, I pick up my mate and we head over to Alf Gatt (a local car parts store) so I can go and get some parts for my Nova.
I'll be under "me" while the guy serving me will be under "guy."
Guy: "yes, may I help you?"
Me: "Yeah um, I'm looking for some parts for my Vauxhall Nova."
Guy: "yeah?"
Me: "do you by any chance have the gasket for the inspection panel on the gearbox?"
Guy: "no."
Me: "do you have the calipers for the vented discs for the Nova?"
Guy: "The ones that came on the GSi?"
Me: "yeah."
Guy: "no."
Me: "what about a pair of universal rad fans?"
Guy: "push or pull?"
Me: "push"
Guy: "no."
Me: "what about a timing belt for a 1.7L Isuzu diesel engine?"
Guy: "no."
Me: "okay thank you."
How the fuck do these guys stay in business.
By stocking parts people actually want on a daily basis I guess.
They carry Morris Marina parts, easily one of the worst cars ever made.
not really, at least you can still get bits for them..
