Had the Lupo serviced - again - at a well known TDI specialist down my end.

Set up an appointment well over 3 weeks prior to the service, just to make sure they could book me in. Gave them a time frame of 4 days to get the job done, which would be not much more than 5 hours worth of work. Despite this, they didn't get the car finished in the agreed time. Never received a call saying "we can't make it" or whatever. Anyway after several phonecalls from my side, they finally had the car ready albeit one day late.

When I went to collect the Lupo, the place had closed but they had parked the car roadside with the keys in a secure place for me to collect them. They left the bill inside the car, for me to pay when I would get home. Admitted, I appreciate this.

Upon checking the bill, I noted they didn't carry out all the work as agreed. And they changed oil and filter - despite me telling them multiple times it need not be done - because I already did this less than a month ago. That's about £90 fully synthetic oil and filter down the drain. Morons. Being decidedly pissed off about all this, I have tried calling them several times but every time they slam the phone and don't reply to voicemail messages.

Anyway I sent them an email about all this asking them to explain their actions and make up a correct bill for the work done, as well as a refund for the oil and filter I didn't ask them to change. Until then, they are going to have to wait for my payment. Sales acts and that.

Getting seriously pissed off with this POS VAG money pit. The car has cost me more in one year than my 3 previous cars combined in 8 years. German build quality... yeah right.
