2 payments in one day, so nothing major. The customer support are useless they tell me that one the computer has made its checks they can tell me when I'll get my money back. They don't seem to have a clue

God I love days in the workshop.
so.... item 1's replacement just arrived... and the effing tw@t (sp) has done the same again, and cut the 200mm pipe into 2 x 100mm pipes!!!!!!! I'm awaiting the manager of the4 place to ring me... this could be sweary, very sweary

you'd think... its a non std bore pipe, and apparently (according to the manager himself) its a new computer system causing it, so when i pointed out that they no doubt managed to send out the correct size length of pipe before the new computer, and the same part no was used, so maybe, just maybe if they put the idiot who picked the item wrong twice on the phone to me, then i'd give him a few choice words of encouragement........
the saturday postal delivery will be interesting

People may think PNG is strictly moderated.... Try one of the Abarth 500 forums, oh my word, what a bunch of spineless goons.
i saw/heard a car with a fairly quiet exhaust (standard is quite loud) and asked what it may be. This led to the suggestion I should get a Prius if I wanted quiet, to which I said I'm mad not speshul. Someone else wanted speshul explaining so I did by saying I can't write the ride word I wanted due to the efficient moderation. I came back a few hours later and voila, all posts after the Prius one are gone with no mod message
time to find a new forum that's not owned by a company (they sold to some Canadian place recently) who want everything to be super family friendly..... Bollocks we are mostly adults

So, i know you are dying to know about my fuel pipe......

a 3rd jiffy bag arrived this morning.

i opened it, and found a 200mm long piece of pipe..... but 1.5mm too big on the diameter!!!!!!

so i rang the manager at the parts place. i then explained, in very small words, how to make sure they actually get the right sodding pipe sent.

he apologised and grovelled and said he'd refund me, and i said ' i couldn't care less about the refund, i just want the right pipe at the right diameter and the right length, and i want it in the post so i can mend the machine, i ask nothing more'

    so on monday, i'll update

Ffs, they still can't get it right!! Especially after x amount of phone calls you'd think they'd make sure it's the correct piece useless.

i'll bet that the boss man will be sh!tting himself at about 10am, when my postie arrives....i plan to actually ring him to thank him when it does arrive..

what galls me the most is that i actually spent about 8 years in the parts business, and i never, ever had something like this happen. i once got offered a job based purely on the fact that i turned up at a supplier warehouse 2 days in a row to collect stuff & had to correct them both days, i used to take delivery of 1000 line stock orders & be able to sort it in a couple of hours, i used to send parts info to a major tractor manufacturer's parts tech dept on new production models that would be launched 2 months before the parts book was published. i also was sent on training days and would end up telling them things... and supplying what the customer wants 1st time is all i expect....

something like this is driving me absolutely sodding loopy.
