Whilst it was up on the ramp I also took the chance to drain the oil, fit a new magnetic sump plug and oil filter and plumb in my oil cooler with the thermostat sandwich plate. I also got some decent quality brackets and got the oil cooler mounted up too.

And a couple of cheeky pictures...

Luckily, I've got over Easter off so I've made up a list of things to do before it goes into paint. These include painting the rear beam, fuel tank, arches and brakes. Filling up with new oil and water/antifreeze (and get it running after 5-6 months!), making up new fuel tank hoses, painting the exhaust and lots of little jobs.

The other night I removed the tie bars, bottom arms and removed the bushes today ready to send off for powder coating. When I get them back, I'll get them fitted along with fitting the new poly bushes and track rod ends/tie bars/bottom ball joints.

I'll report back tomorrow with how it goes! Hopefully I get a fair bit done as I've only got about 2 and a bit weeks to get it all done!

    Noticed that as well

looking very very nice though Liam, so what's next to do once you've got it running? Any other improvements or parts your putting on.

Cracking looking car now and enjoying your progress on this

Cheers guys! It's a bummer with the tank strap. Hopefully I can straighten it out a little bit. I only done it moving it from one workshop to the other and forgot they dragging on the floor!!

Southie, once it's all done and everything is fitted I shall be stopping for a while. I'll be getting it featured in Total Vauxhall once it's done and then start saving for an E30 BMW. Once my finances change though, i'll start looking at throttle bodies which would complete my 'plan' for the Nova.

    Looking very tidy.
All I wanted was a Pepsi, just one Pepsi
    Far from suicidal
    Still I get them tendencies
    Bringing back them memories
That I really miss when I reminisce

Cheers guys! Managed to get a little bit done today.

Yesterday I painted the fuel tank so today when it was dry I replaced the old, split fuel filler pipes with some fluro silicone hose.

Then today I removed the rear beam...

...And fitted the fuel tank and filler neck.

And then set about painting the rear beam.

I'll finish off painting it tomorrow and tick off some more jobs that need doing! I've ordered everything to do a secondary rear ARB including a Cavalier ARB so will fit all of that when I get them before I fit the polybushes and refit the beam. I also gave the exhaust a quick paint up in high temp paint so will get that fitted back up tomorrow and hopefully get it back running!
