You get cheapo ones from places like auto save, usually about £30. Triggered by either the interior light, or current change (ignition) and can be set to go on impact ie hitting the winscreen.
I personally advise a steering lock, twice this has prevented thieves from getting the cars
Full wheel cover steering lock a must or snap off wheel don't know about alarms though
this should suffice

I wouldn't want to skimp too much on security, especially if it has an immobiliser - the last thing you want is being unable to start your car even when the alarm is off !
Try a budget version of one of the quality companies - here's an example from Cobra ...

Top tip - solder ALL your wiring joints - don't use the cheap crimp joiners and wire splicers as it will only cause issues down the line - heat shrink tube all your solder joints, ideally with adhesive lined heat shrink tube.
I've always used Meta Security products - top quality but a bit pricey .
Joff
wire up a relay like in the pic.....
'hot' is a 12v feed from the battery
'load' is to a horn/klaxon etc fitted under the dash
the switch can then be connected up to the interior light switches, a trembler switch etc... it will make noise until the battery is disconnected.......
ok, you might want to install a simple time delay circuit & a decent arming switch, but this will make some serious noise and put people off.
Ive got a oldskool moss alarm here new in box £40 posted and its yours
