Fella I know built what was probably the first 5 door hatch xe in 91 or 92 I think. They used a wrote off gte as a donor and used the complete loom for the conversion lights dash loom the lot

back before anyone knew to you could split them.

They used to be hated. Same as Miami Blue.

That was hands down, the worst colour you could have a Nova in. Most conversions were done to higher spec cars at the time though.

The black Irmscher kitted Creg nova had a mk1 astra GTE engine fitted back in `85 iirc.

I remember this in total vauxhall a few years back owned by some lass and it had all the paper work from when the conversion was done
