I'd absolutely love to do that Scott but it's my daily car and I can't afford a second car at the moment.

What makes things even harder is the fact I've just been quoted £1,400 to insure an S13 200sx 1.8 turbo. That's me as the main driver (19 years old) and both my parents as named drivers. Fully comp, 0 NCB, 1 years experience etc...

I do really need to think hard about what to do now.

Seeing as the Nova won't be going for a short while anyway (if I do sell it that is) I decided to make my journey up to Billing a bit more exciting than PVS.

Seeing as I wanted to stay with the track look I wanted to install a stereo but didn't want to put it back in the normal place. I wanted it hidden and with the Calibra dials in the normal "stereo" place I bought a stereo enclosure and installed it in the glovebox.

It was very easy to do as the wires where more than long enough and I only had to cut a couple of small holes in the back of the glovebox for the wires. I installed a KA aerial up in behind the a pillar and for now put the original dash speakers back in.

I'd like a bit better sound so was thinking of installing some 6.5" speakers in the dash shelves facing down so the wires etc are at the top facing up. I think this is the only place as I don't want to be cutting holes in the door cards etc.

I also had an idea of buying some 6x9 enclosures and putting them behind the seats. I think this will look a bit temporary and I don't think the 6x9's would work too well like that. If anyone has any ideas then please let me know.

Yesterday I set about lowering the rear of the car a bit more. When I fitted the helper springs it raised it up a bit and was then sitting too high. After lowering the car to it's lowest setting with the helper springs still in, it was still sitting too high. I then removed the helper springs and put it back down on the lowest setting.

After putting the wheels back on and rolling the car backwards and forwards a couple of times it didn't settle and was still sitting high. After driving it back from the workshop home like that, when I got home it had settled and was sitting way to low .

Now I know what I'm working with, when I get time I'll raise it up until I get the height I want.

Once I had got home and it had settled:

It's nothing special, just an external/bee-sting aerial that I took off a KA my dad was breaking... It doesn't work though as it doesn't get enough signal.

I decided that I needed to do something to the Nova before Billing so decided to fit the rear window surrounds I had. I've currently got 3 sets, all were described as mint and they are all far from it. I've been looking for a mint set for a while but haven't been able to find any. So, I decided to fit the best ones I had temporarily until I find some more.

I've also got a full set of front window surrounds to fit but haven't got the l shaped seals/rubbers. I'm picking some up at Billing, so once I get them i'll get the fronts fitted as well. I also raised the back up to height I'm happy with, just need to lower the front a tad more.

I've also been thinking about changing the colour of the wheels. I'm not really sure on a colour but it would either be white, a light anthracite or a grey, very slightly bronze matte.

Since I've had the MO's I've never really liked the silver as I feel it lets the wheels down a bit. I've been having a play and decided on either anthracite or with a hint of bronze. I'm slightly towards the bronze as it goes with the red better... What's peoples opinions?

(Don't say white as I've done a Photoshop and i'm not overly keen due to the black bumpers. I've also darkened the window surrounds as they look a little too grey.)

What about the same colour as your rocker cover?

I'd go for the dark grey, and also paint window surrounds, bumpers, grill slats and anything else you fancy that was black, dark grey... it really ties the whole car together imo, but then I also like white wheels on red

    Ignore the shoddy body paint work, but yeah;
