Many thanks for your enquiry. Assuming the parts to be all steel with no aluminium present the cost to process your Vauxhall Nova would be as follows:
To chemically clean the bodyshell including the Boot Lid, Bonnet & Doors - £795.00 + VAT
We recommend that you have your shell chemically stripped of all coatings, take it away and do your weld repair work and then return the shell to us for the zinc phosphate primer. If you choose this route you will get surface rust on the shell whilst carrying out your repair work, however, we would then carry out a de-rust process before coating your shell.
To de-rust the bodyshell to clean surface rust and contamination - £400.00 + VAT (if you have your shell cleaned and coated all in the same visit you would not need the de-rust process).
To electrophoretic coating on bodyshell -£1450.00 + VAT
To electrophoretic coating on the panelwork -£300.00 + VAT. This covers standard panelwork on a car i.e. 2 doors, bonnet and boot lid.
All prices are subject to VAT at the prevailing rate All prices are quoted ex-works All parts are assumed to be mild steel* This Quotation will be valid for 30 days

approximately 3 weeks from receipt depending on which processes you choose.
Delivery/Collection We can provide telephone numbers of transport companies but it is generally cheaper to hire a van and/or trailer for the day. We do not offer transport ourselves.
Further information You can find further information about our company on our website at www.surfaceprocessing.co.uk. We would strongly recommend that you to read through the Process section and the Restoration Guide on the web-site as this will give you a good indication of what to expect from the process and how best to prepare and care for your project before and after processing.
*Our process will not affect brazing but will invariably remove lead loading. Customers must ensure that all aluminium and zinc items are removed from the shell prior to process as this will be dissolved if left on. We offer a separate service for the cleaning of aluminium / zinc parts and panels.
Any sealed box sections / tubes or voids must be free draining and adequately vented (this can be done simply with a 6mm drill) to aid the effectiveness of the process. If you are at all unsure about how to prepare the shell / part for processing or what to expect from the process please contact us we are more than happy to offer our advice,
Kind regards
Georgina

I wouldnt bother with SPL, me and Keith had nothing but problems. When it goes tits up they aren't interested even though you are spending a lot of money with them.
Horrid company to deal with.
I know a guy who spent a fortune getting his mk2 cortina done, can't remember tthe companys name. Anyway it was aboslutely gorgeous, he rebuilt it and was pleased. 6 months later the who,e car was pitted beneath the paint, looked like someone had put a layer of sand under the paint all over and every bit of bodywork on the car. To say he was gutted was an under statement, and of course they said it left the place immaculate etc. Clearly he would have been better doing it himself!!
I had a good look today and could find no other options for dipping in the uk so next would be another dipping options anyone? I will ask my mate he's part of the motor sport club here they must use someone prob SPL!
this is going to be a epic build![]()
Thanks for that mate dgb not actually as expensive as I thought but if there **** it's a lot of money for **** service. I think I'll have to get the panel beater to come and take a look at it and see what he thinks.
I think the rot looks bad to me because im new to this so hopefully ain't as bad as I think it is. I'll let the pros decide
Cheers pie![]()
