The APA we brew is ****ing UNREAL! This might sound one sided but I have no part in the brewing process except on rare occasion carrying the 25kg bags through to the brewery, I'm merely the Dray-man!

not to sound like a folk singer, but i was around when the true king of beers was still being brewed, and not the slightly iffy stuff they claim is the same.... yes, ruddles county... we used to mount missions to find pubs that sold it & served it properly..

i had the great misfortune of being a right lightweight in my teens, but the good fortune to work at what was, at the time, acknowledged to be the best real ale pub, with the largest number of keg beers, in the whole of england.. people used to book the b&b's in the area to come & spend a weekend there, just to drink all of them.... i built up a pretty good tasting knowledge of beer, but couldn't handle any great quantity of it.. i'm not much better now...

i agree about the yank stuff from my odd visits over there, i wouldn't use bud to wash piss off a floor... we did a test when we were out at restaurants & every time a bud turned up, for the mrs (raised there & thinks its nice), it actually tasted different.. it is brewed in dozens of different places, but it was still pisswater.. the other problem about foreign beers over here, is that they are usually brewed in some anonymous shed and blended to what they think we will prefer to drink.. which is why a lot of beer tastes the same, cos it is the same.. i'm a great fan of local small brewers, and the hard work they put in.

Showing an astra that driving at the speed limit makes sense they flew past me taking a seemingly short cut, I turned at the lights 100m down the road, quick blip of the boxster too 30mph and rolled past the t junction as the Astra flew out seconds later -fail

Today was better, the Spitfire came back and it was escorting a Lancaster along with a Hurricane. They flew right over my house, turned and flew back over then turned again and flew over for a third time. The sound was amazing, that made my day

Managed to get a few pics on my phone....
