Sorry Benn, but I actually chuckled a little at that!

Quick and easy trackday prep completed today, spanner checked it all over and fitted my brake ducting to try out the Mintex 1144 on track.

    Front end disassembled:

Ducting hole ready and waiting for some ducting to go on (Also bumper sides are now bodged on with a cable tie as I've bent the clips that hold the plastic block reversing up my driveway )

Brake ducting attached (had to refer to my own WIP to remember how I decided to route it!)

All ready for it's thrashing, minus it's spotlights as I won't need them on circuit:

Looking good. Love you've done on the brake ducting.. Maybe go over the top of the brakes ok? Better routing...

Where's that? I'm not on FB myself

Yeah Benn a little while ago I trial fitted them over, under, round the back and this was the only route I could clear everything. Driven it from my parents home, used full lock, driven over speedbumps and reversed up the driveway and the ducts are still in tact so should be all good where they are. Should hopefully allow me to enjoy the nice initial bite of the M1144s without cooking them like I previously did, but taking my Yellowstuff pads just in case it doesn't work.

Got on pretty well on my trackday on Saturday 25th with the slicks, here's a bit of a write up and copious amounts of pictures/videos

Big thanks to Richard, owner of Blyton Park, for being very accommodating and letting us camp at the circuit the night before. Also thanks to Harvey for coming to help out with the car/camping and also Turbojolt for showing up despite being too pansy to come out as a passenger

Firstly, got myself a spare set of rims with brand new Toyo T1Rs on for use as wets should the weather have been bad, not sure if I like them or whether I'll weigh them in and use the tyres

Got up early Saturday morning after camping, swapped to slicks immediately:

    Mmm sticky goodness:

My trackday package, loving the new trailer:

Had an issue where the alternator belt flipped itself inside out again, so me and Harvey adjusted the alternator position and fitted a new alternator belt for good measure. Seemed to sort it:

Spare wheels, plus the set of Toyos/Astra rims pictured above
