what caused it to brake down dude
Turns out it had melted the fuel pump fuse mate,AA guy said it was far too small an ampage (7.5a) which does seem a bit light to me for an electric pump,i've got a 10 amp fuse in it at the minute but if anybody could tell me what the correct size is that would be great,i also noticed i now have no battery, handbrake etc warning lights so if anybody can point me in the right direction it would be appreciated![]()
These are the two problems i had yesterday.
The spade connector on the live feed was dodgy as well, just wondered if there was a better way to put it onto the pump? Its taped up for now but dont want to half arrse it would rather do it right, any suggestions?
You checked the other fuses? As one does the instruments iirc
Is the plastic track on the back of the clocks OK? As that can cause problems if it's cracked
Wish this weather would fcuk off,it is now covered in salt as the pics show, not good
Then i decided to check the oil, topped it up & forgot to move the can(5 litre one)then a little while later put the car back in the garage & ran over the fcuker
Fcuk it,fridge full of beer im going to get smashed now![]()
Re: fuel pump wiring - get the rubber grommets that go over the wires and fit over the pump connection. Iirc fuel pump fuel is 20amp
Your nuts! Keep it away from the nasty stuff. Its easy to get salt on than to clean it off. Mine wont see the road until the rain clears it away! It might be June at this rate
