Great read Jon, think I'm going to have to pop in shortly for a quick look at this before you pull it apart again..
And very good to see you back into the 'older' cars

So having got the car ready to take out for a drive and some fun once it had all loosened up again, the weather changed for the worseIn the end feed up of waiting I decided to put some miles on strapped to the dyno to shake it down.
I'm now very pleased I did this as it turns out the engine was running very lean. I checked the fuel pressure and it was .3 of a bar down so I changed the fuel filter, which turned out to have allot of muck in it. The fuel pressure was still .3 down, so I then changed the fuel pump..bingo the fuel pressure was back to 2.5 bar.
The next night I put the car back on the dyno. Whilst its a little better it still much too lean, so first job off the new year is to get the injectors out and flow tested, I would imagine its more results off the car not having run for 3 years the nozzle tips could well be blocked / rusty..all good fun![]()
