    Default F10 gearboxes, 4spd + 5spd?

IM currently running a F10 gearbox on my Saloon and can only get 4 gears (as thats all i believed it had), however just been informed there is two types of F10 gearboxes? 4speed and 5speed?

If my gearbox had a 5 speed layout on the selector, does this mean that it is a 5 speed and all i need to do is cut the white plastic block off the gearstick to get 5th gear? Or is it a little more complicated than that?

The remotes all have the 5 speed marked, 5 th gear is an extra cluster over the 4 speed box, you need a gearbox change (will need to cut the plastic lug off the lever too)

If you have a 4 speed selector, you will have a 4 speed box. vauxhall wouldn't go to the expense of fitting an extra pair of gears and not charge you extra for them

the easy identifier is that the 4 speed has a massive nut on the lh side of the end cover (36mm iirc) and the 5 speed has an extra inch of ally & no large nut.
