Shame we don't have the soda lift off here yet. Was thinking of doing it myself untill I found the guy who imported it here. He only sold the stuff by the ton and that's a bit much for my roofless one
Nice work on the alu parts (and surely the rest too).![]()

Update today!! Actual work on the shell...
As the car is going to be blasted and put under a small amount of pressure, and then have sections cut out of the strenghtening support I decided it would be best to fit some extra support so that there was no chance of the shell folding in half. Due to my lack of welding skills I got my mate roped in to help....
Harness needs to come backout but it'll do for now..
Cleaned up where its to be welded onto
First bar tacked in
missed about 3 more bars going in, but this is the first diagnal
finished
It's not exactly exactly the preatiest job but its coming back out in a few months
And a few bits put up high out the way
More soon!!!!
About time
No I haven't started Sport 2![]()

Nice to see your doing some work on it.![]()
Maybe!! I'd hope so, but no point in rushing it. I need to strip it fully back to a shell again, then Soda blast it all, then bring it home and replace the floor sections, then paint it. I had toyed with just blasting the floor areas but I think I may do the full shell just to be safe.
It'll all take time but it'll be worth it. I have also invested in some new parts from Germany so I should have nearly everything I need now to finish it.
