Thats a bit of an exageration. Maybe marginally better, remember how pish-poor standard Nova calipers are!
I say do the pedal conversion so long as you do it right, reinforce the bulkhead join, shorten the pedal nicely & make a really tidy effort re-routing the brake pipes.
If you keep the hole of metal that gets cut out, it could always be welded back in place, LOL.

Seriously considering a corsa B servo conversion due to wanting to free up space in engine bay for AFPR, oil catch tank and vacuum manifold when I fit the turbo stuff

BUT if you were me would you really want to cut a hole in a MINT battery tray for the servo conversion?
FPRs can be hidden nicely if you plan it out, look at mine. Oil catch tank? What for? Run it back in and let the engine breath how it was built to.
No to cutting the big hole. Just plan everything out and it will work. I offer any help i can give.

See above and yeah they must have great brakes.
All I wanted was a Pepsi, just one Pepsi
    Far from suicidal
    Still I get them tendencies
    Bringing back them memories
That I really miss when I reminisce

Don't cut the pedal if you go the corsa b route, shorten the bracket the pedal sits in and then just straighten the pedal, otherwise the pivot point will be way out and the pedal ratio will be all to shot
Come and have a look at my nova to see what I mean

Have you considered a different master cylinder in the stock location and perhaps use the servo that accompanies the master - or fabricate something and then run a remote servo?

Ive got plenty of vehicles you can come and try different thing off

I use a 406 master cylinder and servo on my mi16 - perhaps that's modifyable
