Well we decided to play nice tonight seeing as there was some sun. We made this alloy spacer to see if it would come out ok.
    This was the end result.

Not bad really as we knocked it up quickly and came out better than expected
    Cheers

Default i can do science me. lol

I got the spacer trial fitted last night and it seems to be a winner all the holes line up correctly the sits nice and the spacer doesn’t protrude the casing either inside or outside of the box so you cant even tell its there. I did some proper measuring as well seeing as I treated myself to a new vernier (B&Q tape measures aint all they used to be), I found that the input shaft does slide all the way through the collar of the rear clutch plate but only just. and I have a clearance of 0.9mm from the box to the clutch face im going to clean the box face back with the power file a touch more just to get at least 1mm's clearance.
And it leaves 45mm to fit the hydraulic bearing in place just got to do the PCD of the F20's turret mounts to see which bearing is the correct fit.
    Cheers Gareth.

Lucky sod! though i would want least 2mm clearance, just encase there was for some reason any movement/wobble, not that there should, just i wouldn't want something to move slightly and it end in tears etc..

If the thrust bearings wear you can get a little movement, not quite 2mm as your bores and bearings would all be mega ****ed, but you do get some

    Hello mate,

Sorry didnt reply to your pm, just been flat out at work!! Just caught up on your build.... I run a quarter master twin plate clutch and an SBD flywheel! It fit in with no issues first time, admitedly there was a very slight mark on the gearbox but later found a head of a 10mm bolt from a gaurd/cover had been rattling round in there! I have a spare ap 7.25" at home for a RS and that fowls the bolts that hold it to the flywheel! Bad times! Glad to see you got it sorted though! not far off by the look of things!
