    Default petrol tanks...

Does anyone know if a 1.2 merit (1991 model) petrol tank will be the same as a 1.3 SR (1988) model?

I need a new petrol tank for the SR and have a spare one in my red project car - I'm reluctant to buy a new tank which is £90+ when I could have a tank spare already...

    Anyone know?

Beavers have a range but they refer to clip on or bolt on...I;ve not had the tank off either car as yet.

Both cars were carb with fuel pump mounted on cam housing...

Only an educated guess but if they are both carb'd engines I'd have thought they'd be the same.

The same. The clip on/bolt on refers to the sender iirc. Should fit fine though.

So long as its not an SPI tank then I see no reason why it cant fit? main thing is how the sender unit fits, SR will be twist fit, SPI is bolt in I think, cant remember, GSI is also bolt in

ade, iirc your car had 2 fuel lines, the 1.2 has 2 fuel lines, so it should fit fine

SPi has a twist in sender, for future reference.
