After a few months digging and searching around for a decent run around for the wife I have found this :-

Its on a cat c salvage marked but just needs a whole door and we're away.

Mine was the only bid so I think I have done OK - can secure a whole door from a local breakers for about £140 and with the paint costs onto of about £60 and the VIC test I think I have a nice bargain!

Aparently when the cat c was allocated no keys were available , but since then they have now been recovered so its just the door that needs sorting.

They do VIC tests 8 miles away which is also handy!

Should be on the road in a couple of weeks - but may wait until January so I get a full months tax on it.

Watched the end of the auction Joff and I assumed it was you putting the last minute bid in - nice easy project for you

Yep that was me - I normally only put bids in with about 20 seconds to go!

Get thevic booked asap as they can take a month to get you in, not sure about up by you but with our local center if you go in the center to book it can get one next day, if you send the paperwork off to the dvla then can take 6-8 weeks for an appt.

Oh yeah its cash or cheque only if you go in person.
