    46K miles, FSH + all previouse mot's, regularly wax-oiled = one very clean metro

    love it , theres one for sale near kircubbin in NI i pass it alot on the way to portavogie if my nova was finished i would happily sell it for one for a metro .

    I think they're very retro/cool looking personally. Awesome to drive too, it like a mini but feels a bit sturdier

    Thats the route im going hopefully, 1380cc low comp 16v turbo if all goes to plan Should be getting the bottom end sometime this month.

    Nice purchase mate! A mates mother used to have a yellow GT-a, hers had red belts though, is there an 8 and 16v version? I remember there being a difference somewhere .

    I'd kill for a yellow GT-a, saw one sell on ebay for £1200 IIRC, the austin metro's were a-series engines the same as minis, all 5 port 8 valves. The later Rover metro's were GTA 8 valve 1.4 and GTI 16 valve 1.4. all good fun to drive but i just dont like the look of the later ones, they they do accept VVC's and Vtec engines easily
