Nothing to do with being old. Just ran a test quote on Admiral and then again on that site. 17, 0NCB, 1.0 Nova, 10k/year, TPFT, £200 vountary excess. Used my address (A grade postcode).
Admiral: £950, excess total £450 (i.e. £250 compulsory)
17to40: £1464. And the excess was £1,000 LMFAO
Just proves, whats an insurance win for some is a lose for others.

When it comes to insurance, you pay for the risk that you present to the insurer. Whilst some will be cheaper than others, I would be worried if one was significantly cheaper than all of the rest of the companies you are getting quoted by. Cheapest may not necessarily be best.
