Default gsi problem filling up tank help please???

hey, i have only had my gsi on road for a few weeks now but have noticed when it comes to filling it up!. when the nozzle goes into the spout and pumps fuel into the tank it clicks every 10 secs so it takes forever to fill up. also if i just have the nozzle in the top it over flows then slowley seaps down even on an empty tank!! can anyone thing of a fix for this annoying problem??

Check breather pipes & filler neck for any blockages

as nova sport said, i had the same problem. theres a breather pipe that goes from the tank back up to nosel where you put the petrol in. mine had perished, so best bets are to change it only a few quid

Defo the breather pipe - its either blocked / perished or has an airlock.

Make sure the breather pipe is always above the lowest point in the main feed pipe otherwise you get an airlock and the symptoms you have described (this happened to me!)

either that or the ball 'stopper' in the filler neck of the tank has become lodged maybe? Breather is quite likely.

I will add that you need to use dedicated fuel hose if you decide to replace it. Normal hose will perish & split in days as a result of petrol vapours.

or it could jsut be that most petrol stations have wound the pump rate up.
I have a mare filling the vx in most places as it pushes the fuel out so fast it always clicking out.
