    Hi guys,

can anyone tell me what the manafacuters spec is for a Mk1 SR 1.3 Nova.... i.e what size tyres and rims are fitted by standard?

right im sure that the three spokes were only on the SR's as an optional extra, i think that the standard wheels would have been the 13" steel wheels with the triangle shapes cut out off them. havent a clue what size tyres these would have been!

you get what u pay for in tyres.

Wet weather ones for 13" about ?25+ Kwik fit usually do their own brand - centaur about ?26 if I recall.

You can get cheaper ones but theyre sh1te.

My advice - unless u plan on upgrading yer wheels in the very near future get a decent set of rubbers, next best thing to stop you besides yer brakes

You still having wheel spin probs (recall you kept spinning yer wheels when stationary?) This will also shag yer tyres - quicker if inferior/cheap rubber.

ive got kwik fit centaurs on my 14" rims

    they are 195/60/14

i find they have very little grip in the wet - but this may just be the car in general as ive never had other tires on it - i also find they have a very bulgy profile and because of this they hit the rear shocks although this wont be a problem with 175 or 165 tires mine are 195 :/

i also wheel spin quite a bit in the wet but thats prolly due to me simply giving too much power and clutch when moving away in the wet and not compensating for the reduction in traction
