Any updates mate?

Not really mate, managed to snap the second banjo bolt on my inlet manifold so I'm on the lookout for yet another one lol
Been messing about with wheel I had laying about the garage an have decided on Clio steelies and wheel trims;)
Unfortunately the rear axle is starting to show it's age with alot of rust appearing :(

Few pics...

What's everyone's thoughts on the height of the back of the car? I plan to lower the front down another 20mm.

David

I think once the front is down another 20mm, it'll look quite balanced. I like the wheels, will look good black or silver but in my opinion, loose the wheel trims, steelies will look better as steelies.

dc1984
15-06-13, 11:05 PM
Cheers Marc, hopefully get another bolt soon then get a mechanic to check over every nut and bolt incase I have missed anything or forgot to do something since it's been so long in the making.

marc69
15-06-13, 11:18 PM
I snapped one of the four manifold to exhaust bolts and am running on 3 out of 4 just now.........but if you only have the 2 then 1 out of 2 might not do even temporarily lol

dc1984
15-06-13, 11:29 PM
It's actually the banjo bolt on the inlet that I snapped mate:(

http://i951.photobucket.com/albums/ad359/davids2010/20130529_175728_zpsc0dec49c.jpg (http://s951.photobucket.com/user/davids2010/media/20130529_175728_zpsc0dec49c.jpg.html)

marc69
15-06-13, 11:49 PM
oops! I'm not even going to look for a new exhaust manifold, once I get time I think I'll find a machine shop and see what they can do with it. If you can't get a new one perhaps an alternative but for you it really has to be air tight....I'm sure you'll get it sorted one way or another.

skud52

Surely thats just water into the inlet? I would just sack it off all together

I honestly don't know mate, there seems to be water going round one part and air through the middle. Can I just block that hole up and join the two water hoses?

David.

skud52
16-06-13, 10:52 AM
Yea i reckon, of top of me head the air is just a rocker breather? So plug it and be done with it. Ill have a look at mine when i get down today and stick a photo up for ya

The hole is a breather to the rocker mate, block it off. Coulnt get a pic of mine as the vac hoses from the throttle body run above it but i aint running the water to it

Cheers skud52, it unfortunately didn't all clean up as well but it's not too bad:)

Managed to get it refitted. Got a few wee bits to go over and check then if it starts and runs ok it may see knockhill this year.

Anyway I've stripped the transit ready for painting so had to put the nova on the back to give me space to work on it....

I would just like to say thank you to everyone for all your support and helpful info through everything.

Ive met some really good people through the club and made some great friends, thanks again boys and girls.

If I happen to find the passion to buy another nova I will be sure to pop back on here but for now I've just had enough of mine.
