i think you can use your fuel tank but just change the internal pump to a mpi one, it should be few pages back i metioned it mate,

was the 1.2 a carb or injected?

first off, big sorry to david for not completing the conversion in the time agreed, as i have explained to david i should never have taken on the job untill i had sorted out work and everything else that was taking up my time. its not fair he had to wait the time he did for a half done job. i have been in contact with david and i will be getting his parts to him hopefully this weekend and a refund. this is no excuse and not the way things should happen in a small community. im also aware i am not allowed to trade/sell on here which i can understand. i will be online for a little time so if you want to slate me etc or just be a keyboard warrior trying to jump on the bandwagon please feel free to drop a pm.

the rason the clutch wasnt fitted was i didnt have a new release bearing. remember you dont have to remove the box to fit a clutch. yes it wasnt ideal or the way its usually done. i just wanted to ge tthe engine in. if i didnt intend on finishing it i wouldnt of even started.

Like i said beforehand i am very sorry about that i sold hundruds if ot more parts and used to have a reasonable name and 95% happy (impossible when you sell second hand parts to keep everyone happy)

Yea its easy to do mate just fill in the V5 with the new cc and engine number and date off change, it will be motd as what evers in it lol but best to have it all legal ;)

Ball joint bolt and nut. With the cut out in the bolt, linwood vauxhall about 1.50 for them

got another wee bit done today, thats both the motorsport hubs fitted.
the brake servo etc and steering rack removed so a can clean the welds up and get the bay ready to be prepped for painting

Went a wee trip to vx today, the bolts that hold the bottom ball joint to the hub are superseeded by corsa ones, got both for £3.01 inc vat
part numbers incase anyone else needs them are. . .

V0090538685 and V0090538686

also went to autoscot and ordered a new lower front panel as mines is rotten. not too expensive at £18.10 inc vat
while a was there a got the paint for the engine bay:)

a want to go down the roll cage route, but with the mot, xmas and my insurance renewal all due by jan 11, think am gona need to stop spending the cash on her for a bit.
a will be happy to get her running with an mot and painted this year.

There is a part number thread in mechanical iirc, stick those numbers up mate,

those other top mounts are still here mate, you can use them, iirc compbrake do the concentric ones, and protec motorsport do rack mounts, mind before you paint the bay to modify the hole where the clutch cable comes through, there is a very recent thread about it in mechanical, best done now to avoid troubles later,

forgot to say, big thanks to bazil for coming over on wednesday to help get the petrol tank/pump etc fitted.

what started off as being a couple of hours work, ended up being a full on shift with bazil doing most of the work and me standing around with a vacant look on my face, cheers for the help though bazil mate:thumb:

Dude, you really need to weld the seams in the engine bay. They dont look the cleanest... (ones behind the m/c and servo)

Ben the welds are good that pic doesn't look to good but dc is grinding them back and removing the sealer for painting,

i wouldnt say it needs done as hes had the strenthing kit done and isnt going to use it as a rally car so i wouldnt say theres a point mine dosent have it and mines is fine

I did say a page back about the welding. You wanna do behind the pass side turret as there can be rust hiding under the sealant that's where.
