Bret, Ive just looked at the other pics of the banded wheels as i didn't know you had done them, they look ace, though would think 7" on front/rears would been better instead of 7.5 on rears..

Also i do think your old wheels some how suited it more, but these are just as good, and dude please ditch "some" of them tacky stickers, i have a hatred of all these "scenesteers" euro cars going round my area, it's not a look that works for all..

Although i still love your SR, one of the best..

that sport is sexual but i must say i would be realy consious about useing it as white gets so dirty and keeping thows iner wheel arches clean must be a night mare

The wheels are thanks to brett i did have some rare 16" speedlines lol on her but they looked 2 new so did a swop for my spare set of sport twin 40s not sure if he still has them:confused: i know he got about 15 bhp more with them on good swop me thinks:)

That black thing on the previous page looks like it had a proper whack! black snowplough SR's are really sweet IMO. A friend used to have one, he bought it in the dark, it was rotten as a pear. That replaced a D reg Red SR he did similar to (massive side impact into a very old tree) & wrote off in style.

What kit did you use to lower it? Was expecting the car to sit a tad lower when I read it's lowered 40mm. My one is supposed to be 30mm but sits a tad lower than yours :confused:

Ahh right Apex springs. I wonder how much the springs I fitted have actually lowered my car, as like I said mine are meant to be 30 but look as low or lower then yours which are 40.

Wonder if all manufacturers measure the difference in the same way.

thats how i bought the car, not had a chance to spend any money on it yet. its just a 1.2 8v at the moment, dont really wanna touch the outside much but def considerin a conversion so its a bit quicker but at the same time its perfect for a daily driver if a monster impreza ends up back in my driveway. lol

Seriously mate, I'd keep this as a daily as it is. Just get the right MK1 rear bumper, give them a good clean and paint with mid-grey and paint the drums in black. Then you'll have yourself a lovely motor.

i've been offered a gsi engine, box loom, ecu and shafts for 150quid. ohh the decisions, lol.

i'll def be painting the drums black but think i'll keep the mk2 rear bumper for now.

You could probably get a MK1 SR bumper for about £20 mate. You may even be lucky and get a GTE one for that price (like I did lol)

But turst us, it'll finish off the cars looks.

That 1.6 transplant sounds a bargain and a sure way to get a decent power and performance upgrade with minimum hassle.

Yup 1.0 with a top speed of 88mph lol. It is in good condition in all the right places. its tucked up in the garage now until i get some time to make a couple of changes, 2 minor shoping trolly dints you can hardly see them but i know they are there. got a brand new 1 piece front bumper too but as i said just no time.

More mintness but needs a clean very dirty!

Was out for a blast in the old girl 2 weeks ago! (after diagnosing a plug lead was loose hense missfiring on high boost) still goes like **** off a shovel, forgot how quick it is, still looks brill, thing the wheels are going blue same as cage ect.:thumb:
