Sorry that i dont have £££ like you. I want this one running.
Somone got out of the wrong side of bed.
I wasnt the only one who said it, you took the engine out to replace the headgasket, and or found out it wasnt.
i wont bother replying anymore, dont want to stick my nose in do i......

Dude you can get a 8v lump for penny's. I know money can be tight, but gets you on the road.
Benn with all due respect i dont want an 8v i want this engine running, im in no rush to get this on the road... But progress has begun.
If there's no rush for it to be on the road, then there's no prob.
Updateish!
Box is off ready for clutch to be done, vsos is what the problem is. Looks like the pistons are fairly new aswell which is a good thing. The head is getting picked up soon for a little bit of work so progress is getting done slowly.
If i can remember my PB password ill go take a few pics to show everyone ive still got it!

I thought it was going to be haunted.
You got her running Jay?
I'm guessing the engine out of the gsi has gone in the nova?
lol!! Havent been on here in a while so thought i'd make an apperance again.
Bought a Corsa Gsi (you might of seen it in the fs section) Putting the standard 120k lump in the Nova for the time being as my engine won't be ready for a while....

But polished the bonnet today for the first time in about a year, AUTOGLYM SUPER RESIN POLISH FTW came out better than i expected.
And the video is just the Corsa starting up lol
Ah makes a bit more scene, so you can drive now?

Good to see your getting on with it at last.

Long live the Mantzel ;)
Please move that ECU inside.
Good progress though! At least your not going backwards!
Isnt it funny how both mine and your miami blue smallblock xe's have been off the road for an age and both look neglected lol

Does it really have a heartbeat with the AFM not plumbed in like that?
Ditch the silicone & find something to bridge between the TB & AFM (smaller size). Look at a Cav/Astra TD inlet pipe.

What you want to do is make your own pipe. using self amalgamating tape layered very thickly. It's exactly what I done on mine and it works a treat.

Thats in a Corsa though, more room between turret & rockercover. In a Nova that pipe will need to be considerably longer.
/\ agree i have a big samco hose thingy and its squashed against the turret

You want a Cav TD inlet pipe. £60 from GM crazily enough. Though I do have one (new) & a K&N 57i to fit.
Im going to use my original air filter i had before. As for the afm Craig thats a pic just before i rewired the afm. Only turned it over for 5 seconds. All good things come to those who wait...
Can't see that ecu liking been in the scuttle for long
when's it going to be back on the road ?

Hello everyone! Been a while, first of all some of you may know i had a little boy on the 27 December :):):)
http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e46/jays_nova/4d914383.jpg
So all my attention has gone to him. The Nova has sat on my drive ever since i put the engine in from the old corsa gsi. Now ive found motivation.
http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e46/jays_nova/ad60a20e.jpg
Its at my work now, done the cambelt water pump lambda crankshaft sensor cam sensor afm and new ecu. Just needs some fuel then we should have a working miami blue nova for the first ime in about 2 years i think lmao!

Congrats on the baby, what car do the front wheels come off mate and whats the size of those ? inch width etc if you know ?
Could be the ideal wheel im looking for at the moment, car looks great btw.
Good to see your actually getting on with it :)
Lewi wheels are either spares from Tigras and such, 15inch 6j wide. Can be found quite easily.
Congrats on the baby pal, and glad to see you have refound motivation.

Would they fit over V6 Brakes ?
Ideally want a set of those but 16 inch but i dont know if theyre available.
I have cav turbo brakes abd i needed to just shave a little bit off the caliper for them to fit. I got these from a corsa c et49 6j.

My mate bought a set of the Corsa C steelies brand new from Vauxhall the other week, think they were about £30 each.
Done a few things yesterday.
Painted my spare wheel well satin black, had over spray on.
