Havent really thought about doing a project thred but iv'e got all my pictures together so here goes!

First off this is the pic of when i bought it it was pretty much standard, apart from the hidious Bk wheels.

Was an alrite car to be honest but needed my attention and a little bit of money on it.

Didn't really have a lot of money by the time i got it home so i tryed to spend as little as possible but get as much as i could done. Started by de-badging the whole car, added an espace splitter and that was it for now untill i had some money.

Then the cat was rattling so gave it a de-cat from an earlier model, Red euro rear lights, cav cesero wheels, started prepping my corsa wheels and some stamped plates.

Jay
19-07-08, 06:55 PM
So then i wasn't happy with the ride height so i bought some budget coilovers from ebay, fitted them up and was happy with the end result :)
Whilst doing the coilovers i changed the clutch, it was starting to slip, also swapped the ceseros for some slabs.

Jay
19-07-08, 07:21 PM

Jay
19-07-08, 07:30 PM

Just wondered what size tyres you used - My Mum's Corsa has those wheels on it and I thought they'd be interesting with 195/45's on them

Interior looks spot on as well :)

Rears only, Genuine set or the ebay jobbies?

vaughanmc
23-11-08, 02:50 PM
Genuine set - Mk4 Astra ones fit/look the best :)

Jay
23-11-08, 02:50 PM
Astra rear iirc? u think i should get 4 or 2 rears?

vaughanmc
23-11-08, 02:52 PM
4 would be the best bet - Complete the look and also keep more of the spray down on the front

2 on the front works fine but not sure about just 2 on the rear...

Jay
23-11-08, 02:53 PM
Hmm may consider it.

vaughanmc
23-11-08, 02:54 PM
You should :)

I have the 4 on mine and it does complete the look and there practical too

IIRC Is that if there is no light seen from the front indicator when you stand looking from the side of the car??

If so it should only applies to late mk1's? as mk2's you can see it, as it wraps round into the wing??

Also must add, your doing a nice job mate, car looks tops, i liked the black Cesaro's my self, And where was it and how much for the HID lights (oh is it bulbs or kit?)

Not to sure what it means but i no it wont pass MOT, will need them in for it.

Thanks mate its coming along nicely, looks so different since i bought it, black ceseros were ok but had wrong size tyres on and looked rubbish imo.

What i was saying dude is that on Mk1's you can NOT see the front indicator from the side as they DON'T follow round into the wing, so after say 87 you would need side repeaters on a Mk1.

But as a Mk2 has front indicators that DO follow round into the wing and CAN be seen from looking side on to the car, they are not 100% needed for an MOT. :thumb:

Just want to ask if you've ever had problems with the police with those pressed plates.

Both me and a mate want to get them, but the police round here are picky about plates and just want to know if you've had problems yourself?

Dubmeister and other sellers say they are totally legal.

But looking good either way, what colour you doing the bumpers?

Jay

Jay

Better pics, pics dont do them any justice at all they look really bad, the blue marks on have not even scuffed them so to speak so will just need a basic rub down and spraying no filler, there all straight and not buckled :)
